Where Are The Parties?

In Sims 3 you could get invites all the time for parties and crash other people's parties. Yet in Sims 4 there is no such thing. Rarely (like a meteorite striking you rare) I get a birthday party invite but even with aging off it makes the host age up. That's it. There's 'parties' at community lots like the clubs and stuff from Get Together but that's it. Where are the parties? I'm tired of throwing them myself. I made many outgoing party animal Sims in the hopes they'd throw one but nope.avi

In TS4 it called create an event.

 

It can be started using phone.

If that's not already a thing, I feel like tuning-oriented modders should be able to do something like. If birthday party invites exist then you just need to take that and change the event type.

Is it normal that I read "panties" instead of "parties"?

There are get togethers and festivals that occur if one has the appropriate expansions installed (Get Together and City Living)but the likelihood of NPCs starting parties is low by default.

It is likely a consequence of EA Maxis subtly imposing their recommended game play method onto the player base, that being controlling multiple households all around the map rather than focusing on a single household.
