ChokingHazard Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 I have so many supply routes going in and out of my main settlement (sanctuary) that the sheer number of cows are actually getting jammed on the narrow bridge in front of sanctuary. Is there any way I can terminate a supply route and create new ones in order to reduce the traffic?
aspelling72 Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 you should be able to use the Vault-Tec Population Management System that was part of the DLC, I use Settlement management software, http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12032/? Or you should be able to select the Provisioner in Workshop mode and re-assign. Aaron

Is there any way I can terminate a supply route and create new ones in order to reduce the traffic? A bit of Google-fu can do a lot: https://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/3shd3h/removing_supply_lines/ What I do to minimize supply line issues is the set up supply lines in the order I gain the settlements: Sanctuary to Abernathy Abernathy to Tenpines Tenpines to Starlight (or whichever the next one Preston sends me on) and so on. Basically keeps it a s single line - a->b->c->d->...
guk Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Well even with the Vault-Tec DLC, you need to know where the provisioner has his home. Because that management console can only control the jobs for the settlers living in the settlement where you build it. The map only shows that there is a supply line, but not from where it originates. So either way you're gonna have to figure out where each provisioner lives, if you don't have the VT DLC then get the Settlement Management Software mod (i never used that myself). If you don't want either then you'll have to wait in each settlement for the provisioner to show up, and give him a new temporary job. This can take forever if you sent the provisioners across the map to sanctuary. For the future i recommend a simple ordering - if you unlock a new settlement, the first thing is to go back to the nearest settlement and equip one settler with the best equipment you can spare, including stimpacks and grenades. Then send him ("move") to the new settlement, and assign him as supply route to the settlement you currently stand in. This will minimize the traffic in each settlement, and maximize the amount of settlers available for other jobs. Another reason why you should do this, is because if you just build a radio tower, you get between 1-3 settlers (mostly just 1) but you also want at least one farmer, one shop and one guard set up ASAP.
Rooker Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Try this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25606/ Build the beacon, then hunt down the provisioners and give them new orders.
spoonsinger Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Or replace two headed supply cows with eyebots (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14395/? ) - which seems the far better solution. (Well for me anyway).
ChokingHazard Posted September 3, 2017 Author Posted September 3, 2017 Sometimes when Preston Garvey gives you the help settlement quests, the settler you need to talk to is on the move with his cargo cow and you need to chase him down.
