tlrd Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Can someone please remove the satchel from this outfit, I've tried for 2 days in outfit studio but cant do it. There the GomaPeroPero Apprentice mage robes from http://www.loverslab.com/topic/43515-kofmans-cccp-for-bodyslide-2/ (The replacer version if that matters) mageapprenticerobesf_0.nif mageapprenticerobesf_1.nif
myuhinny Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Another way that you can do it is to export the robe from the _0 and _1 nifs in .OBJ format from nifskope or outfit studios and then load the .OBJ file into blender next rick click the mesh go to the object mode tab at the bottom and change it to edit mode and hit P and select separate by loose parts. Next turn object mode back on and hold down the shift key and right click each part of the satchel till you have most of the parts and hit X then delete. Once all of the satchel is gone hold down the shift key again and right click all of that other parts of the outfit then hold CTRL and hit J to join parts back together. Load the outfit up into outfit studios the hit load and load the new .OBJ file in and scale it down to the correct size and you'll have to redo the bone nodes for both nifs.
idle Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 I think making the texture for the satchel 100% transparent (and adding a nialphaproperty) could work. Here's a little guide on transparency settings for nifskope.
myuhinny Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 I don't think that will work because you can not have 2 items on top of each other with transparency because the top layer will cause the bottom layer to become 100% invisible. I know if you alter the texture for say a pair of panties to make the texture transparent in a area and then add a NiAlphaProperty to the panties and then do the same to say a skirt when you look at the panties in game while outside of the skirt looking in the panties will be invisible. It also notes this there on that page when adding transparency. *With these values for transparency the textures look often much better, with softer edges, but in some cases you can see some problems in game, like when two meshes with transparency overlap.* *Edit Seems you can alter the one to prevent it from happening it seems. Now I have finally found out how others have done it where they were able to have 2 layers with transparency on top of each other. Thanks for the link I'm going to add this to one of the notebook pages of saved links. That page is also quite outdated though and hasn't been updated since July 2013 and some of the things it talks about you needing to do doesn't need to be done anymore as they are already done when you add the NiAlphaProperty to the item.
