Has F4SE been permanently abandoned?

Has work on F4SE and SKSE special edition been permanently abandoned?

It's been under development for a few years now...

Both are currently being worked on by Expired6978 (the person behind LooksMenu, UCF, EFF, etc).  And he is the ONLY person working on it.  So releases are little sporadic (frankly, even when they had a crew working on  SKSE and the previous ones, they did not release versions very frequently).  Expired has stated that the functionality for F4SE is basically done, so he is only adding features as needed (either for himself as needed on his mods or for modders that request specific functionality).  I haven't heard anything specific about S64SE.  So F4SE is not abandoned.  Again, can't say for  S64SE.

To clarify: For Four-Play Framework, we pretty much have everything we need from Expired and F4SE and we'd like to thank him for his one-man effort on F4SE. Thanks to jaam and Chosen Clue, some great back-end work has been done in-house and we now have virtually all the building blocks we need for the sex framework that we want to build. We're not waiting for anything from F4SE.

Skyrim SE is pretty much dead. as for Fallout 4 SE no it is still being worked on.

What are you talking about there has already been many mods released for 4Play, many by Vinfamy.  Sextec was abandoned long ago and been replaced by 4Play.  Follow the links in Vinfamy's signature to find the mods.

As Kain82 stated, there is already a near fully-functional sex framework (4play), and that is working with the current f4se.  Sextec is basically dead (or more accurately, morphed into 4play).  Additionally, Expired has stated before that several of the functions that were in SKSE are already in the modified engine for FO4, so a waiting on a "full version" of f4se is a waste of time.  Especially since it IS a "full version", and if modders need specific functionality added to f4se, they need to inform Expired.
