Guest Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Any advises? What are you Guys using? Seems like i killed Mine, now I need a new one. Don't have any clue about mbs.
Mipasa Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 I am using a B250 PC MATE from MSI, it has 2 slot for onboard m2-ssd (runs at twice the speed off a standard ssd) I7 6700 processor. A seriusly high boost for anyone wanna upgrade. Not the biggest if not using m2-ssd.
pinky6225 Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Using MSI Z97M GAMING although if i was building a new computer today i'd make sure to get a motherboard that supports DDR4 to save myself another upgrade sometime in the future
Guest Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 yeah i heard about that m2 ssd, i use a standard ssd though..problem is i use a i5 so i need a old socket..i have a MSI Z68A-GD65 (MS-7681) now, but i think i killed it when i touched it before unchargind myself.. since then it is going full crazy at boot and shit..
pinky6225 Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 What socket/model is your I5? Tried googling your motherboard and what i found was socket 1155 which i'm not managing to find many motherboards for although the ones i have found arent that expensive, depending on what you want it might be worth looking at getting a new CPU along with the MB, checking on Amazon a bundle deal for a I5 skylake with a socket 1151 MB is £290 - does depend on how much you want to spend
27X Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Finding a new 6 year old mobo is going be either way more expensive than it should be or just flat out hit and miss. Mobo retail life is about two years tops, though you might have some local or online private seller options.
Guest Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 I think i will get a new CPU then, time has come.. I like mine, it's enough imo, but seems like I need to upgrade..
