As for trolling, I miss the good old days when it consisted of a few people to a few dozen using proxies to flood a forum with gore, dead babies, etc, until the site ceased to be used.

These days, half the trolls look like douches that can't stand being mad that someone had a divergent opinion on a subject.

Each President of the United States and all the player Congressmen are the best trolls I've ever seen or - just plainly -> politician = troll. 

 

Just like trolls are masters at hiding dishonesty so are the politicians. 

The most successful politicians have the same criminal master mind as the most creative criminals have. They're smart and well planned people who know how to use other people to get whatever end-result they desire e.g. they lie people to vote them in offices. The best of all of this is the political structure which provide them cover and zero responsibility status - collective decision-making equals lack of the responsibility.

 

When the media goes frenzy (social hysteria) and lit the fire under their asses they start panic pass ridiculous laws which don't address the problem at all but gives the spectacle of revenge to the society - ban the guns, jail the junkies and criminals for eternity of life, implement the strictest security measures. 

That's all well intended but is never a sufficient mean to ease the issue or reduce it to the minimum.
