Skyrim vs Fallout 4 HDT body physics

Short question - is there a way to copy over some of the HDT systems to Fallout 4? I love the TBBP movement on my skyrim character, but when I manage to get it working on my player clothing/body in Fallout 4, the butt works well enough, but the boobs end up just getting oddly crushed, rather than bouncing with their full size off the body. The react more like light fabric in a strong breeze than breasts on a human body. Any ideas?

TBBP was the one where bounce was done in the animation IIRC. Could be done, just a lot of animation work.

HDT is a external system that simulates physics.

Fallout 4 is currently done with the ingame engine by using bones for Sturges googles, which gives a look of body physics.

Porting HDT may be possible, or creating a new system but one is doing that at the moment.
Porting SMP would be even better.

So would this require something to the effect of a new skeleton? I remember reading that there were physics based objects in game that had their properties applied to the body/articles of clothing to simulate physics, but comparatively, Skyrim breast physics are excellent, and having put enough time into modding my skyrim now, that it all looks great, I have a hard time going back to FO4 for character details like that, even though I like it a bunch as well.

I know breast physics don't make/break a game, but in terms of looking at a character of mine, and seeing some detail that is just wonky - well it's off putting.

No ones arguing about HDT being better, we all or should all know its better than in pretty much any game that implemented physics for body parts.

Its likely an issue to do with coding and I've read somewhere that others are thinking its a matter of having access to some of the expensive programs that were used to implement Fallout 4's physics with as well as creating code to implement it.

After that there will still be a matter of that code being integrated with something like Bodyslide so that people that make slider sets could then add the physics to the outfits.

Its going to take time and a lot more than just one person.

By the end of it there will have been a great many people that invested time to bring a system like HDT to Fallout 4.

Gotta bear in mind that HDT didn't really take off for Skyrim till just before Fallout 4 launched, a great many outfits didn't have physics that do now.

Before that it was BBP and then TBBP.

Those also took time to get implemented into outfits and adopted for use by the public.

Could still be years.

(I still get people asking what is HDT in my armor pages for Skyrim, either they are back from early modding or just getting started with modding)

One could create a similar discussion about Sexlab vs Foreplay, Thing that a lot of gamers might not realize is that there were about 5 different frameworks that implemented sex into Skyrim....And Sexlab isn't even the last framework to do it either.

The bounce that is in Fallout 4, could likely just be the beginning and not the end of bounce evolved for Fo4.

The main hindrance for a complex system like HDT is the Havok (the p. engine) system. Fallout 4 uses a new version of it, with closed code.

That's the hope for sure. I mainly just want to see something along the lines of whatever bones used for the breast physics in Fo4 having what amounts to less sway in any given direction, with a stronger tendency to return to center, and no ability to move inward and outward from the player chest. As it currently stands, if I crouch, my tits get massive. If I stand, back to normal. If I run, they basically disappear into my chest and then pop out when I stop.

Oh well, in time. I should probably learn to code.

Only physics I use is Cherry's Physics (Cloth Physics). for me for the most part it is closest to realistic. when your character lays down on her back the breasts flatten and spread slightly, when she lays on her side that's the direction her breasts move slightly squishing together.  they are not helium filled torpedos. lessen the jiggle in bodyslide and there near perfect. but that is just my opinion and observation.

For FO4?

Ah, I wasn't sure if Cherry had made one for Skyrim. I use Cherry Hotalings as well for the breast and butt physics, and while the butt physics are pretty darn good, the breast physics still have the same issue as the default - the boob crush when running forward.

hmm  I've never had that problem, only glitch I've ever seen was in the racemenu. any changes to face etc. would cause the breasts to go all over the screen but once the adjustments stopped they'd go back to normal. maybe it's a skeleton thing, no idea.
