Changing CBBE to UUNP Mid Game

Now there's a full set of vanilla armour bodyslide settings I'm kicking around moving from CBBE to UUNP. I've been happy enough with CBBE but a lot of armours or clothing I would like now seem to be mainly in UUNP

As far as I can see there shouldn't be any issue changing body type mid game, but thought I'd ask in case there are some "gotcha's" I might have missed.

The Process looks to be:

Remove:

CBBE

CBBE HDT Vanilla Armour Bodyslide mod

CBBE HDT Vanilla Clothing Bodyslide mod

Install:

Dimonsed UNP

UUNP HDT version Vanilla Armour Bodyslide mod

Reinstall:

Bodyslide with UUNP settings and morphs

DDI/DDX/DDA with UUNP devices

Can't think of much else. I've not bothered with a skin texture before so can add something if I need it

You don't need Dimonized UNP. The new UNp body will be automaticly build  by the new UUNP bodyslide.

Good choice to move from cbbe to uunp

im at that point in my game where I have both UUNP and CBBE in my game, it's a giant tangle but i like having certain sets for certain characters.

Just make sure you convert all your armors/clothing inside Bodyslide and switch from a CBBE body Texture to a UUNP/UNP

Bodyslide/UUNP creates UNP meshes, so Dimonized UNP meshes would simply get overwritten.

It doesn't include UNP textures however, so make sure you install a mod like Fair Skin Complexion, the UNP version of your CBBE textures (if available) or just use the Dimonized UNP textures (not that good quality).

That's brilliant, much easier than I was expecting, I just need to decide on a texture mod, I'll try a couple and see which I prefer.

Thanks everyone :)

Fairskin complexion is a very good skin texture for the UNP familly. Detailled and good reaction to the subsurface scattering (ENB GUI)

one time i have try to switch from cbbe (bodyslide) to unnp ( the same preset ) but , i have except some Detailled and good sharpe but i return to cbbe

I see what you mean. It is much better in some ways but I prefer the way CBBE handles the upper body around the shoulders.

I'll try playing with the sliders a bit to see if I can reduce the overemphasised muscle from shoulder to the breast. The face looks a little off as well but I can sort that out in racemenu

EDIT:

Having played around a bit more I do prefer the UUNP body though the sliders don't seem to change for each body in bodyslide like they do for CBBE.

I was surprised as to how much it changes the face though which I'm not keen on, makes here look like a Vulcan. I think it's the lips which are too wide now. It seems it's the skin texture that's doing it, if I apply Fair Skin to the CBBE model the effect is the same

I did the switch once mid game, wasn't difficult but i was quite unsatisfied and the switch didn't last long. My main goal was... my characters have usually big, but still realistic breasts, so they have some gravity. What i wanted to get was that the gravity effect disappears while crouching (or better crawling), so they hand straight downwards. Didn't work at all, at least not better than with CBBE and somehow i wasn't able to get the same results for breasts which i like on CBBE, so i switched back.

If somebody has an advice how i could get this working with any body i'd be glad, though. :)

I found using the Pure textures solve the face problem but I'm not keen on how the skin looks. Maybe I'm just a bit too picky :)

I'll play around a bit more but I may go back to CBBE after all this

Body textures change of course the face of your character. Because these textures come with body textures, hand textures and.....head textures

Some skins are made for young characters (fair skin complexion, leyenda, pure skin)

Some skins are made for mature characters (mature skin)

SG skins can be used for all "ages". It's multi purpose. But the quality is low.

You can mix and match them to find your own balance.

In all cases, select a mod with the full set (head, body, hand) to avoid seams.
