Fallen4rebirth Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Hi Maybe sombody know what can be, if I play in New Vegas, game frozen for a secound and play again. I dont sure its not for walk/run animations. Its visible when I run, all frozen for a while and run again. Its happen to when I look on NPCs they walk, frozen for while and walk again. any idea what I can resolve it? For sure its not game preference.
prideslayer Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 1. Graphics settings too high, especially effects like reflections and shadows. 2. Interfering antivirus. Norton and Mcafee are terrible for this. 3. Too much 'other junk' running on the PC in the background. 4. Dying hardware / overheating video card.
srayesmanll Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Definitely agree with what prideslayer said. The one issue I had was while in Freeside, outside the Kings school/HQ there is a PA blaring RadioNV. Every time I got near it, I'd get lagging. If I quit and relaunched the game, it went away until I got near it again. I installed a mod from nexus that disables the PA there and in the Tops casino. The lag went away for me after that.
Kamen Rider Kuuga Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 I'm about ready to install Quiet Radios and PA Music Remover myself, both to see if it improves how NV runs (not that I need it, since the thing runs better than Fallout 3) and because I just fucking hate the radio stations in the game.

I dont know what it is. For first time game work smoothly maybe 5 minutes and after its like I say in first post.
gregathit Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Based on your comments I think it very well could be 1 or 3. If your settings are too high the memory gets overloaded and will bog down. Unless you want us to continue to guess at the cause(s) you need to post your computer specs and load order.
