Raidwiki Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Tried to make the KunN armor mod to cbbe using Slash's Uunp model as a base and when I switched up the reference everything appeared fine until I got in game.
myuhinny Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 I would redo the armor again in outfit studio and make sure to remove the old body from it.
darkconsole Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 loooooool my first step would be to make sure to load the cbbe reference shape AGAIN after loading the outfit, and then copy all weights again for each of the shapes. if that doesnt work i would delete all the bones from all the shapes (outfit studio will let you do this on the 2nd tab) and then re-copy again. and then i would also confirm the game is loading xpmse and its winning any conflict war.
slash197 Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 With converting stuff with HDT skirts/capes, there are extra steps you have to take. If you look at both files in Nifskope, you'll probably see that the new saved nif has parts of the skeleton outside of the Root, and the mesh itself is twisted like a pretzel. This is what I told someone else who was also having issues converting things with HDT skirts: Check the weights for the extra HDT bones, if you use Copy Bone Weight, to make sure they are still intact. These bones will usually be listed after the basic bones (boobs, spine, thigh, etc), and have random names. Select the reweighted mesh's parts, and then select these extra bones. If the weights are still there, sections of the mesh will display different colors. I use the mask tool to stop skirts from copying bone weights. If the weights are still there, save the project as usual. If they aren't, you'll have to load a version of the project from before you copied the bone weights or start over. I always save weight editing as a seperate project. Open the original outfit mesh in Nifskope. Delete every physical part of the original mesh (armor/clothes pieces, body) with Remove Branch, leaving everything else (skeleton, xml file name, etc)intact. Open the Bodyslide mesh in another Nifskope window. Copy Branch the physical pieces of the Bodyslide mesh into the original mesh. Overwrite the Bodyslide mesh with this new (refilled original) mesh. refilledoriginalmesh.nif > Save As > bodyslidemesh.nif Build the outfit in bodyslide and test it in-game.
Raidwiki Posted June 18, 2017 Author Posted June 18, 2017 So Uunp and Cbbe as far as Bodyslide goes are different things, always thought it was all based on the Cbbe and bodyslide tricks the mesh into using Uunp style.
slash197 Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Yes, they are different bodies with weighting differences. They just share the same base BodySlide shape (default CBBE shape) to make conversions easier. For meshes that don't have HDT skirts/scarves/tassles/etc, replacing the reference body and changing bone weights is all you'd have to do.
