Black pixelated body -- HELP!

This crap is making me want to swear off of Skyrim...

 

First off, I use Draco Torres' guide, because I like DSR for my characters. Now, however, I find that when I start my game, my textures only show up on face/hands, or they are under this dark pixelation bullshit. At first, I could reinstall Leyenda's HDT AiO, then her 4.0 skin, and it would resolve, unless I tried to add any follower mod (standalones, btw -- seriously; what the fuck?!)

 

CPU -- Intel i5 7500, 3.4 GHz

Graphics -- NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti w/ factory OC

RAM -- 16 GB

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

Skyrim is installed on a 2TB mil-spec external HDD

NMM used to install mods; also on mil-spec

This happens when you run out of Vram if I'm not mistaken. How much Vram does your gpu have?

vram problem, if you install a 4k texture and you have a 2gb gpu... well, you're f*ck up. anyway, leyenda skin is f*cking awesome but it demands a lot of gpu, even the 2k. With demoniac Skin I don't have that problem, cheers

Are you using Crash Fixes and ENBoost ?

 

You should try out Optimized Vanilla Textures from Nexus. They take up less memory and look much better.

If you use it, you can remove hi res packs and the unofficial hi res patch.

This happens when you run out of Vram if I'm not mistaken. How much Vram does your gpu have?

I have 4GB of VRAM - and it handled just fine when I first installed it on this rig. I had a problem with my external HDD that cost me my NMM build, and I had to reinstall; this is what has happened since. Also, it's happening in the Abandoned Prison during initial chargen.

You can fix this in game if you use enb. What you want is to find/setup your freevram hotkey. Open the enb manager in game, go to the input tab(enb hotkeys) and set it to something comfortable and save config. Pressing it will freeze the game for a second or so but should fix the pixelation. If you don't use enb, you should at least be using EnBoost. Should be able to use the hotkey as well.
