Weird glitch in Riften or Whiterun

[Naked Ekans]

Does anybody know what can be the cause of this glitch? This happens to me when I look at the direction of the market in Whiterun or Riften. When I look away everything goes back to normal. (see the video)

Didn't get the video but let me guess, you look a certain way and things disappear? If so that is a problem I had with ETAC.

Strange, ETaC don't mess with big cities afaik. I'll check it out anyway, thanks.

 etac caused world objects to disappear from view in places where it had made changes and it was similar to what I saw in the video but for me it only happened around whiterun and riverwood. I haven't used the mod for a very long time and there were no riften changes at the time.

I tried disabling DynDOLOD, then ETaC, then Dawn of Skyrim, then SMIM, then Enhanced Textures Detail, then Project Parallax and the problem still happens.

 

 

I guess I'll have to keep turning the camera away.

Are there any custom NPC's in the area?   Make sure they all have XPMSE skeleton, including the kids.

Some of the custom followers need to have the skeleton manually dropped into their folders.

There are the npcs added by Interesting NPCs and Inconsequential NPCs, but I believe they use the installed skeleton. I'll check it out later to make sure.

hi,

that´s defintitly no glitch. It´s a graphical issure, that happens, because the skyrim engine is overloaded with outside clutter:

in this case caused by too many objects. It´s not your/ the graphics-accererator (gpu), it´s instead the engine of the game. Normally, all the buildings need to be connected to a LOD-system and/or activators, who take care, that the stuff is switched/blended OFF as long the cam has not the focus on it. It means, what you don´t see in the game has not to be rendered. This is surly important and only working with huge modifications. But it is very much needed, specially in the outside world, because it´s more hard, to find the right optimization there. And if (beside, at the same time) there is also other stuff for the engine to do, the engine is dropping down...(so some meshes disappear, to avoid a crash)..there´s only one sollution: check out the ETac-mod, and get some info if the team  made their job well, to optimize that mod carefully, in the way it has to be done for skyrim, but I guess not.

 

The engine is so much sensitive, that one house-mesh, that has no optimization, can cause a screen-shuttering of the engine for about a whole minute.
