Guest Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Reposting my reply just to be safe: So, for that picture, I used: Body: UNP Jiggle Textures: Real Girl diffuse mixed with SG normal map Armor: - Bodysuit and boots are from Skintight Dragon Wear (with 75% transparency) - Collar is from Horus's Guild War 2 Conversion pack - Gauntlets are from Blood Mage Armor - Hair is from SG Hair 268 I hope that helps

I tried adding NiAlphaProperty and messing around with the threshold in nifskope but I can't get it to show in game

I tried adding NiAlphaProperty and messing around with the threshold in nifskope but I can't get it to show in game You need the NiAlphaProperty in the part you want transparancy (best way is to copy it from some other outfit, click on the part you wanna add it to, and Ctril + V), and the transparent textures (Just use GIMP or Paint.net to open the .dds and change transparency level) Hope that helps!

I just threw up a little What does that mean in English ? Would be a great conversion project
-alpha- Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 do you have nifskope and gimp or photoshop? if you do then its pretty easy to pull this off.

Follow this here guide: http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Creating_an_armour_for_Skyrim._Part_2#Add_transparency Then use Paint.net or Gimp to modify the textures and make them transparent. So here's what I got The body looks fine, but the arms and legs are messed up; they've become see-through. I have no idea what to do now...
-alpha- Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 the mesh you have doesnt have the "body" underneath it. so when you make the armor transparent theres nothing to see. dont know which mesh asenasen has to have the body under but you can add it. although the way I know how, is going to be a bit more work. create both the skintight suit in BS then create another femalebody mesh (the normal non hdt/special one) -open both femalebody_1.nif and BodyBlack_1.nif in nifskope. -on femalebody_1.nif right click the body and select Block->copy branch. -on the BodyBlack_1.nif select the exposed chest area and go Block->Remove branch -on the BodyBlack_1.nif again on the top left where it says (0 NiNode - Scene Root) which is the top of the tree right click and Block->Paste Branch -it should have pasted the body inside the suit, next is to change the string. -select the body (exposed area) and the bottom there will be Name String txt "something" -right click it and select Edit String index change it to UUNP and hit ok. Save mesh repeat for femalebody_0.nif and BodyBlack_0.nif once both is done it will need touch ups in outfit studio to remove some of the clipping. not sure if there is a better way to do this. (probably is) or if theres a mesh that already has the missing parts.
woodsman30 Posted May 2, 2017 Author Posted May 2, 2017 So this is why I download mods and not make them totally lost. I can build you a house but don't know jack shit about modding

I can build you a house but don't know jack shit about modding I'm the archetypal blonde airhead when it comes to technical prowess...retarded actually. If I can get to grips with this stuff with my mental challenges literally anybody can. Hit some guides, download the tools, get your hands down in that digital dirt. Thank us later.

I'd add that of those genuine female gamers many probably aren't of the hawt Twitch streamer variety either im just going by my own logical calculations. How many female gamers out there have you ever seen in real life that actually genuinely enjoy skimpifying their female character, wouldn't it be much more likely that they would skimpify their male SOS character? just sayin' and if we are gonna be inclusive and say, hey, don't forget the lesbian female gamers out there! I say to them: lesbians are already a huge minority population wise, just going by probability what are your chances of ever getting a female-lesbian-gamer who's into skimpy skyrim modding and likes it enough to actively participate in loverslab? pretty low.
Guest Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 asenasen, do you have already the file changed of the trasparent suit? Just copy a NiAlpha from anything with transparent texture to the meshes, then set the transparency level in your textures. I'm currently out of town so I cannot upload what I have. If you still have troubles by the time I'm back, I will do so. So this is why I download mods and not make them totally lost. Your 'logical calculations' seem an awful lot like a bunch of baseless assumptions. So just to recap: - female gamers only exist if they don't openly declare themselves - even if they do they aren't into skimpy female armor - unless they're lesbians - Real women don't express themselves in overt sexual ways virtually, they only want to roleplay as the opposite gender. Given that you appear to equate female gamers with unicorns, how many verifiable ones do you actually know? How many have you had frank discussions with about sexuality in video games? How many of them were involved in modding of any kind? How much of what you think about female gamers then, is coming from a source other than a shouty feminist blog site that you (didn't) read?

First of all: this is a niche community/site, just because maybe you experienced/"seen" a lot of "Female Gamers" here doesn't mean anything. I go by probability and numbers not "how one feels" and what feels right. No one is saying that female gamers dont exist, or female skimpy clothing lovers dont exist. I'm just talking about sheer probability and chance here. everyone knows statistically majority of gamers are male. that's not even a debate here. Just look at ps4 xbox numbers and that's quite telling enough. Games were also historically marketed for the male audience, just think of which toy section nintendo chose back when they first debuted on the world stage (boys section of every walmart, kmart, toystore): http://www.slate.com/blogs/xx_factor/2013/12/04/female_gamers_and_masculine_marketers_polygon_s_history_of_the_sexist_selling.html now that doesnt mean that female gamers like you claim to be dont exist, but with all things considered with how things have played out over teh decades the chances are extremely low now. i have nothing against females. I have everything against those who pretend to be female just to phish for likes and favors. (You need to play an MMORPG like WoW to understand my point of view here and my excessive caution) In other words im a skeptic. So if you're offended in any way cuz u think i'm a cynical asshole, well yes i am. And I enjoy being that cynical asshole.
