I believe that it's related to the criminal who gets caught by the guards during the Solitude plotline.  In the current version, there is a scene involving Vala, the torturer, and a prisoner during which the player learns about the Skunkway, Charon, the Dibellans, etc.  I want to say that there's a single line of dialog in which Vala identifies the prisoner as a pickpocket, but I'd have to check to be sure.

Anyway, we haven't gotten many details about the content of the new stuff so I can't say anything for sure yet.

Oh yeah now i get it. On the similar note is there a way to skip to the beggining of solitude? As far i see we can either jump into game from skip to the cart ride or all the way to entering the underground.

Not unless there's a new end point added to the skip script.  Starting after Falkreath really isn't a very long time to actually get into Solitude if you just want to get in the city as fast as possible.  You just go to Solitude (e.g. take a cart from Whiterun), watch the scene outside the gate, watch the scene at the back entrance, and go hide in a crate.  I don't know if either of those scenes have been made skippable, but you can certainly coc SolitudeExterior01 to get there really fast if you're inclined.

You'll miss at least one new thing if you don't spend the time to get the Bards into town.  I don't know if there's any new content involving Viggi, but there might be.

Edit: After examining the latest mod file, it looks as though the new stuff involving the pickpocket ("Jostler" in the files) may require the Bards, at least for the full experience.  I'm seeing some new quest aliases which hint that it's now possible to have the bards put on some sort of performance.  There are also aliases which tell me that there's an auction of some kind, and two new beggar NPCs.  The aliases for the bidders in the auction - and a series of aliases simply labeled "booze" - reference a BardAudienceExcluded faction.  Just a guess, but to me this says we have the option to help the pickpocket out in various ways, by creating distractions or using distractions to steal things.  The presence of a StealCounter likely verifies the latter.

After a more thorough investigation, it appears that the section of the quest involving the search for the Skunkway has been expanded to include a multi-stage operation to capture the Grey Fox.  This involves Vala putting on an auction to try to draw out the Grey Fox, using the player character as bait.  The plan appears to be to dress the PC as a noble and give her an enchanted coin pouch, then let the GF steal it and track him down.  The plan is hampered by a pair of beggars who hang around the Temple, and grope/strip/rape the player during the auction.  This leads to a variety of branching paths, including: disrupting the auction and having to try again (up to three auctions maximum); making a deal with the beggars (various things, including sex, can be traded with them); or encountering the GF and arranging to meet with him.  In the latter case, it looks as though the player has the option of becoming a disciple and learning to be a pickpocket or attempting to betray and entrap the GF during the meeting.

There appears to be at least one new minigame, involving stealing from the other bidders at the auction - possibly another minigame related to being groped by the beggars.  There's also another new minigame related to a drinking contest, which is where the "booze" aliases come from; nothing yet which in any way links the drinking game to any of the rest, nor links the bards to any of it.

So the drinking game stuff is somehow related to the auction.  There are a series of scenes with both "booze" and "auction" in the name, but all I've seen so far is what looks like a sort of repeat of the scenes with Kust and the farmers; the player somehow gets involved having sex with one guy and two other guys find them and join.  Nothing yet which indicates how any of this is related to the auction or the Grey Fox.

Do you have to take the Bards or the Cheese Merchant for any of the new quests or can they just be skipped ?

That depends on what you mean.  If you're only interested in the new stuff involving the pickpocket, then I haven't found anything yet that involves Viggi or either bard - which should not be taken as definitive proof that none of them can become relevant to the pickpocket stuff.  If you're interested in new content in general, then I can say for certain that you need the bards at least.  My understanding (no direct testing done yet) is that the intro scene with the bards has been redone, the scene with Ikol to get the bards into the city has been redone, and most of the later stuff with the bards has been expanded.

I don't remember specifically, but I have some recollection to the effect of some improvement being made to the interaction with Viggi if you get his help with Varg.  Dogma hasn't mentioned Viggi directly in a few months as far as I know, so if you want you can try going through the post history on Patreon and using the find tool to look for any reference to "Viggi" or "vigi" or "cheese" or "merchant" etc. and see if you can discover anything that involves Viggi.

There seems to be quite a bit of new stuff that's not related to any of the existing characters.  I found a reference in the bd_sq_sol quest data to a wall rope activator - apparently it's now possible to enter the city by scaling the wall.

My recommendation would be to play under the assumption that everything has changed and you want to check to make sure.  The one thing that I absolutely cannot say is that you can ignore the bards or Viggi if you're interested in anything new.  It's possible that as I continue to investigate I will discover that one or the other or both come up in the data related to the Grey Fox stuff (mostly tagged with bd_sq_sol_06_vala... and bd_sq_sol_11_gf... as far as I have seen so far), but even if I were to re-check every line of dialog it still could not tell me that they are not in any way involved.

I stuck at the guest chamber in blue palace, none of the interactions seem to work , buffet, firewood, and the bath tub, I can do basiclly nothing in the room

guess there are some scenes supposed to be triggered according to walkthrough

I found the same issue has been talked in this topic but no solution there

tried to disable potentially conflict mod like go to bed or dovahkiin can lean but still not work

anyone can help?

Can't seem to get the auction to start. The Auctioneer kinda just repeats the lines saying it's about to begin but nothing happens.

It should start between 11:56 AM and 11:58 AM.  There will be a message box asking if you want to attend the auction or skip it.

Yeah I got the pop-up on the bed at the Winking Skeever to sleep until the auction, got the cutscene where the innkeeper wakes you, but when I go to it, nothing. NPCs start gathering but it never begins. He just repeats the same lines about it "about to begin" until around 2pm where he says something along the lines of "that'll be the end of the auction"

Have you tried just... waiting in the temple courtyard until after 11:00 AM?

Cant progress the quest "go to Vala" after waiting for certain days and the guard approach me to meet Vala in her office, the dialogue stucks about to wait for her to get news.

okay.. scenes that i have found..

1. if u loose drinking game in winking skewer hall

2. beggers have 2 stages... first auction they grope u.. 2nd auction they straight up rape u if at any point u dont stop them.. but ur task gets completed

3. if u stop them during 2nd stage while removing cloths.. and if u meet vala.. she will give u dagger so u can kill them or find other way.. if u meet them b4 auction (u can do it right after meeting vala) and not attack them.. they will give u a deal.. and if u interaction to shake hands.. they will fuck u all night till very last min of auction

now idk what other scenes u can find with bards or coolie.. i dont think there are any..

also tried winning drinking game so to trigger gray fox dialogue if u go near the market.. so far it doesn't seems like there is a way to make him ur mentor.. he dismisses it saying we are too naive leaving our trail behind.. and it blocks path of auction as well.. if u betray vala.. u straight up get torches option..

I did the auction, but it freezes after the beggar short groping scene and i don't know what to do

for me simply skipping 1 hr using T works just fine.. auction timer is longer and it seems there are no middle dialogues... so it seems like its freezed.. but it isnt exactly..

can't find the bards nor viggi anywhere in solitude after helping them, there is a stall full of cheese in the market but no one is around

By simply renting the bed with vanilla mechanic with inkeeper. As for the scene it happens after you loose twice during drinking game and on the third day before auction you go rent the bed and go to sleep .

I'm stuck on chapter 6 when I'm supposed to leave with the two soldiers for the road to Helgen: they're both at the exit of Falkreath, the soldier even makes the comment "why is that whore coming with us?", the corporal tells them to get going, but then they don't move...can anyone help? Thanks!

Nope just shorter version of the first one. As for madam petit the only new thing is short double blowjob if you stand near the couple at the corner for blowjobs. In the pickpocket branch in the normal repeating scen with clients one of them tells you about fox and thats it.

Pretty sure you need to talk to the corporal more than once to actually get things moving.

How is this broken?  Have you tried talking to the NPC, or using the console to move him to the scene location?

Hey guys, I m back after the last Silentwood update. Havent played the 'remake ones' . So I m guessing since Dogma is remaking the old versions there s no new Silentwood content right? And if so is there a way to skip Silentwood AFTER you reached the point at the hot springs? Is there even any new content till that point or better to just skip till the start of the Whiterun branch?

gambler perfectly goes downstairs to new location.. i followed him and when u move close to him.. for some reason pc start walking upstairs again and stuck there,, i thouht mayb scripted cloth remove and put into box might be the issue.. so tried that first as well,, same thing.. pc goes upstairs and stuck... also tried taking control through debug and running back to gambler and let mod control again.. player still walks back to upstairs and stuck

I´m on the same situation. Could someone pls help us, or pass a save after that script??

Yes, I tried many times, but nothing changed. This is just a new mod, and there aren’t many mods that could conflict since I have no building mods. I even tried other fresh mods, and the same thing happened—the thief was missing outside Whiterun. I asked before, but after waiting a long time without anyone responding, I didn’t get an answer. Could we just get the new version saved that starts after the chase sequence and ends in Falkreath? That would be great.
