Do I need to reinstall?

Dear Community,

 

I was wondering if any kind souls out there could help a fellow gamer out. Let me start by saying that I am relatively new to modding Skyrim and I have only been using MO for the past couple of months or so. At some point, I fear that I may have damaged my core files somehow and I can't pinpoint exactly when or how it happened. Note that these issues happen on all of my MO profiles.

The first issue I am having is with my skills UI. See image below

 

 

My next issue is that I am getting halted kill move animations all of the sudden. Doesn't happen on all of them but about 2 or 3 of the melee kill moves will just stop right after the trigger and leaves me frozen and vulnerable for a second. (You can imagine the frustration when using Viloense and it keeps trying and freezing over and over.)

 

Finally, any time I load ANY quest Mods (Things in the dark, Devious Cidhna, Radiant Prostitution, Amorous Adventures), it seems that Markarth vanilla quests assigned by the Jarl, Barkeep, Steward, etc... never happen. I can still investigate the Molag bal house, steal the Dibella statue, and get the forsworn conspiracy quest but I can't get any of the "help the people" quests that lead to me being able to buy a house.

 

(Note: the escape from Cidhna Mine quest only ends properly if I side with the forsworn....which I hate. Otherwise, I kill Madenach and escape the mine to find nobody there to give me back my stuff)

Anyway, I know these are separate issues that should probably have separate posts but  I am just trying to see if it is just best to start from scratch. Any advice is appreciated.

The cidhna mine quest might be altered by cidhna mine expanded.esp or devious cidhna.esp or both or there is something else that is causing it.

 

The messed up names for the skills could come from a mod that you downloaded and installed you see this more with mods downloaded from overseas as some these mods leave their files in the mod that shouldn't be there. Like ENB files or .ini files so sometimes is best to look at what is inside a mod before installing so that you can problems in the butt before they can sometimes happen.

I will look into my overseas mods and start disabling stuff in order to test. As for the Cidhna Mine stuff, it happens even without the Cidhna expanded or devious Cidhna installed. I have had the issue with Radiant prostitution and Amorous Adventures as well. The only time it seems to work properly is if I have Zero quest mods loaded....really strange. Either way, thanks for the help. Looks more and more like I may have to do a fresh install, which sucks because I have 3 profiles worth of bodyslide edits to back up and hopefully be able to recover.

I had this problem too, it is caused by a Main Menu Replacer, which is not language-compatible!
thereby arise these strange glyph in the menu.

 

Important is now to know which Main Menu Mod do you use?

I hope only it let be removed problem-free, because with me it was not the case, I had to make a complete reinstallation.

Thanks, I will look into that. My main menu replacer is part of a graphics AiO mod that a friend of mine built. I will have to dissect about 150 mods that are part of that package.
