I've tested walking to the same part of the map as I previously crashed on, and it seems to continuously do it. This happens while exploring surrounding areas around where I load. I know this occurs a lot, and it's usually with contradicting mods, but I suppose what I'm asking is for help narrowing down which mods it would be. Thank you. ^^ [/quote'] The only mod I saw that gave me the same problem was Zazimel's Drow Race. The Drow Companions was extremely buggy and entering areas where they were scripted to camp or travel tended to cause CTD. I haven't used many of the other mods you have listed so I can't say for certain if any of the others is the culprit, but I know for certain those Companions were glitchy.
creeposaurus Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Be sure you have the latest version of Sounds of Skyrim. There was a problem with the previous version that caused CTDs when entering certain areas. The problem was solved by turning the esp in a master but he updated it and its working now

I have installed the newest version of Sounds of Skyrim, and I made sure the Drow Companions where off, and upgraded my Drow in the process. I'm not entirly sure if this fixed my issue, but I have hopes that it did. Again, I appreciate the Help. Now all I need to do is fix the issue I'm having with not being able to fire magic from the right hand....

And right now my game seems pretty stable. ^^ As of late, I have fixed the crash issues, learned how to corroectly use ENB, and how to enable my Graphics card to accomidate it, and fixed the no-using-magic with the right hand glitch. Overall, all your help has been very productive. ^^ So thank you all for your help.
GMan2 Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 You may want to add the 'Bash' files as well. See where BOSS offers up suggestions on a couple of your mods? Use Wyre Bash (Google it) to create the Bash 0.esp file, then put that .esp at the very bottom of your load order. You might also want to look for the "Unofficial Skyrim Patch"....It addresses quite a few of the bugs that were still present even after the 1.6 patch. The unofficial patch will list as 1.5...but it does work REALLY WELL with your game already patch to 1.6. Basically it will load up as an .esp on NMM, so you can easily disable it later if you don't like it. And if you run 2 graphic cards, either in SLI (NVidia) or X-Fire (ATI), try disabling that function. I've disabled my SLI setup for this game and that's helped reduce CTD's. Hasn't stopped them, but its cut them down a bit.

I've used the Unofficial Patch, but I felt as if it was more a burdon than a help. I had deactivated it when I started crashing when leaving cities. Deactivating it seemed to work, but that might have been me just looking for an answer. I wiull probably revisit the patch. About 5 minutes ago I crashed in Skyrim again. First time in a while, though. It seems I can explore farther than I have been in a while, but because I'm using an ENB (And even though it is the lowest setting of the ENB I'm using) loading seems to take 5 minutes... not even joking. xD I have turned off the Drow Companions thing and most things related to it, but maybe it's still doing something. For all I know, all of my characters can make it past the bridge near the Honningbrew Meadery EXCEPT for my Drow Character. Not sure why. Appreciate the info.

[/quote'] The Drow Race, as much as I loved it, is buggy and that's why I have not used it for some time. Completely uninstall the Drow mod, make a clean save and continue the game or start a new one to see if it still crashes.

And even if the Drow race is as buggy as you say, this would not explain why I crash from going to specific places as my Drow. (though it would explain why it's only the Drow getting effected by passing Honningbrew) My chracters are made in order of the following: 1) Wood Elf Male 2) Breton Female 3) Drow Female 4) Moonshadow Elf Female I suppose that since the Moonshadow is the last one that was created AFTER installing Drow, I'd suppose it is already 'fixed'... I'll look for an alternative for now. I've uninstalled the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, and I crash MUCH less as my first two, though Honningbrew seems to not be friendly with the Drow. If all else fails... I suppose I'll uninstall the Drow things and make a clean save from there. PS: What do you mean a clean save? Like going to the chracters save files and just making a new save after I uninstall a mod?

I wonder whats the look of your drow race that make you quiet upset to leave her/him. A screenshot if you dont mind?
sbire Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 SKSE/ENB can be also a reason for random CTDs. these stupid 32bit release of skyrim, also. to much HD mods and you'll reach the 4GB Ram border fast. exspecially in Rift; Water everywhere, lush Wood and many NPCs and Animals. another reason can be; uninstalled mods, which had use scripts. the savegame will ever refer to there scripts. to many of such erros and you will earn errors and warnings "en masse" at papyrous*.log. finally are they become to much, it will causing in freezes and CTDs. BTW: a clean save with uninstalled scripts? its impossible. Don't touch the script folder. You've use a script once, you've to left this at the scriptfolder forever. until you start a new game, that is the only way to become real clean save.

Hopefully, it won't do to much to my already damaged saves. I've never tampered with script folders as far as Skyim goes. I use NMM so I usually just doubleclick on a mod and it uninstalls. I don't think I even know where it is. But yeah, I can turn off whatever I don't need, but I feel like I'll regret turning off stuff. sually when I uninstal big mods, it causes problems with loading... Will get back to you on this.
DeltaD36 Posted July 7, 2012 Author Posted July 7, 2012 Well... I'm starting new games now, in order to duplicate my Moonshadow Elfs progress of not crashing. Since starting a new game usually fucks up with mods and doesn;t do it correctly, I use a mod that takes me to the last part of the caves before exiting to Skyrim with whoever you escaped with. I've used this with the last 3 characters I've made, including the Moonshadow Elf. However, upon changing my chracters gender to female (if it doesn't crash while changing to Female) I find that I crash if I press any buttons. Seems to be one problem after another. I've completely uninstalled the Drow mod, because I've already accepted that I need to make a new chracter anyways...
Guest Donkey Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 If crash to desktop only occurs while walking or fasttravel maybe your pc is not processing the data fast enough to keep up with the demand. Thinks you can look for is first play in window mode and make sure you use ctrl + Alt + Delete and check for proccess in the back ground. If TesV.exe reaches a certain trash hold no matter how fast pc you have it will crash to desktop. If your using many texture mods this will only add to the load, and could make it crash sooner, Skyrim still suffers greatly from memory leaks.

When I'd start up a new save or Load a save it crashes when it reaches 600,000K. The more stuff I turn off, the higher the activity gets. Any advice on how to lower it? I've already uninstalled the ENB I was using, and I've taken offo the major graphic enhancers. Would Body Mods such as CBBE v3 and GlossTech be wearing it down?

The majors include The Skyrim MoMonsters Mod, Wars in Skyrim, though it technically does not exist anymore, and the High-Res DLC ffor Skyrim on Steam. After words I decided to go use all the chracters again, and they seem to not crash from specific places anymore... well as far as i know. For now, it's working. ^^ However, knowing my luck it might just stop again. xD So as thanks, here is a rather mediocre screenshot of my Breton female rubbing her clit. >>

I suggested uninstalling the Drow race and making a clean save or start a new game to see if this was the cause or maybe another mod. Personally speaking, when I last updated the race, Zazimel had disabled the Companions because it was causing problems for just about everyone. While doing some exploring and raiding bandit camps, I came across another Drow. She happened to be one of the companions that was suppose to have been disabled in the latest update. While following her the game CTD. Reloaded the game and tried to fast travel to the same area I saw her and the game CTD. So yeah, I went ahead and uninstalled the Drow mod, started a new game and no crashes since. Btw, I happen to still have a pic of my Drow Mercenary.

Infact, I decided that once I had the crashes fixed, that I would reinstall the Drow. Infact, I have not encountered a crash as of yet. YET. Hold little more than hope that no crashes happen. All my old saves seems to work fine, and everything is running smoothly with fewer things activated. Will comeback later with a new pic. Though this is a Tech support thread. xD

Though this is a Tech support thread. xD She's wearing a mash-up of Void armor (Hentai), Lady Bat boots and gauntlets, and Lady Mask. Glad to hear things are working fine so far.

Guest Donkey Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Skyrim still suffers from a nasty bug that was still present since oblivion. If you notice your game crashes allot, do not mistake this as just crashing to desktop it should give you an error at the end. First switch to 3rd person so you can see yourself, use the tilde key ~ and click on yourself and type kill. I know it sounds strange this will force the game load your last game and clear left over memory issues. Since oblivion they are very poor to clear memory. And this workaround fixes anything still leftover from you loading your save game.
