Naked Ekans Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 I'm trying to edit a tail mesh in NifSkope to get a thinner tail. I edit the scale of the bone nodes in NifSkope to the size I want, but ingame the tail is unchanged. Â Is there a way to get the result I want editing the tail mesh or I need to edit the skeleton itself? Â ORIGINAL MESH EDITED MESH Â Â Thanks in advance for any help.
RomeoZero Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Don't waste time in Nifskope,its buggy,do it in 3d app.
Naked Ekans Posted February 12, 2017 Author Posted February 12, 2017 Unfortunately I have no knowledge on other apps. Even in NifSkope I have limited skills and can only do basic editings.
yatol Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Don't waste time in Nifskope, its buggy,do it in 3d app.  the bug is between the chair and screen  you have to right click on the mesh and click on apply transform for those edits to apply in game Â

anubis Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 I wouldn't do it with nifskope, even if i do, i will edit the main skeleton (skeletonbeast.nif) but still i wouldn't recommend it. The reason is tail is skinned/weighted and editing the scale with nifskope can make it as romeozero mentioned above my post. You'll require 3D editing (blender/3Dmax) to do the trick. or the quick way  I remember there is a slider for "Beast" from XPMSE plugin in racemenu for adjusting beast tail.

RomeoZero Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Â unlike you that blabla blabla, i just told him how to do what he want to do and it's a bone he have edited, you didn't bother reading his post? Maybe its you, who who didn't read it carefully ?. He want to scale XÂ coordinate.Check the "Picture" BTW bones in single meshes can't be modified no matter what, only Skeleton (nif) biped controller can do it and object vertices needs to be skinned on bones. So he either need to modify Skeleton or the mesh - uniform scale in 3d app. Variant 2 is faster. Dont know about bodyslide tool..
Naked Ekans Posted February 12, 2017 Author Posted February 12, 2017 Thanks for the answers, but yeah, no luck with yatol's method.
Naked Ekans Posted February 12, 2017 Author Posted February 12, 2017 Okay. Outfit Studio did the trick.
