Sexlab Animations not playing

Ok so I am having what I believe is a unique problem. I'm VERY new to modding games (less than a month) so anything that you can tell me would be helpful. I have skse 1.7.3, FNIS Behavior V6 3 XXXL, FNIS Creature Pack, SkyUI, HDT Physics Extension, SL Defeat, and XP32 Maximum Skeleton. The menus and all work fine and I'm able to initiate the sex sequence but the animation doesn't play. The sounds work fine and when I'm 'defeated' the npc punches and my character crouches down, drops weapon, etc. But the animations don't play and sometimes the npc and my player gets meshed together. Like inside of each other. According to the ingame sexlab menu I don't have FNIS Sexlab Creature Idles or Frame Idles but I don't know where to find those two or if I have them installed and it's just not picking up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You seem to have what you need, but did you run the generate animations for users program? It's not enough to just install FNIS, you have to generate the animations too.  The sexlab menu things you describe are optional and not required.

There's a ton of troubleshooting tips on the site in a pinned post. But I had similar on a new game recently and I fixed it by making sure the XPMSE skeleton was right near the bottom of my load order.

I uninstalled and reinstalled skeleton just to make sure nothing had overwritten it but still nothing. Also where can I learn more about modding for extreme beginners?

Your problem description sounds exactly like a FAILED run of the GenerateFNISForUsers program.

Ways FNIS can fail:

1. It shows an error message in the output box. Any error message is ALWAYS a failed run.

2. It shows a warning message in the output box. Most warnings are also indications of a failed run.

3. You checked a "Patch" in the patches section but do not have the mod that needs the patch.

4. You have a mod that requires a patch but did not check the appropriate patch in the patches section.

Those are the four most common problems. If you can't figure out the problem it's easy enough to select all the text in the FNIS output box and post that text here in a spoiler. Most of the regulars here have seen enough of those we can pretty much spot any problems and get you going and Fore who wrote that code also watches here and will step in if there's a really unusual problem.

So if you can recognize the problem yourself or not we should be able to get you going pretty quickly.

if the information by WaxenFigure did not fix problem please let people here know and we will try to help

useful information to put in spoiler tag would be FNIS output information and modlist and loadorder

example of how to use spoiler tag (remove the letter x and it will work)

stuff you want inside the spoiler tag

The only warning message I get is this one: "Warning: Bad installation. Generator not run from a Skyrim installation directory." Like I said I'm new to modding and have no clue what that means. Thanks to all the people that are trying to help.

Where did you install FNIS? It needs to be in your Skyrim data folder. Unless you're using MO then it's somewhat tricky, try this video if you're using MO.
