The portrait pack is a separate download and will overwrite the Dark World ReMeDy portraits. By default, the numbers you see on the faces are the numbered portraits set for each character. Download and install the portrait pack. Click yes/accept when asked to overwrite.

CountShaun Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 V1.32 uploaded. -Reworked the Mercenary Commander portraits to a different portrait set within Dark World ReMeDy's portrait mod to avoid incompatibility issues with Dark World Reborns incoming update. -Kanika and Freja now spawn in the players court rather than inside the Red Hand. This will keep them from getting married off to the ends of the earth, and gives the player more options. An in-game event will pop up to tell you the commander is sending them to you to act as liaisons and to serve you in any capacity. Did you fix the Red Hand succession? I started up a new game in 1066 and when Athena eventually died a Red Hand veteran inherited. It seems only Red Hand Futa veterans inherit now. In terms of fixing issues, this update is beast!

Everything should be working better now. I do have some small issues to fix and if I have the time I would like to fix them before the end of the weekend. Then back to focusing on content.

About the only minor suggestion I might make would be to have some sort of random global event before you can go looking for the Red Hand - but that's just my RP sensibilities at play. It works just fine as is

It works just fine as is I intend to rework the recruitment events down the road. I also want to add in a chain for if the player is a futa, and another chain for if the player wants to be the Dom. Lots of work, lots of ideas, not enough time currently in a day. I do have a plan for inserting an additional 12 hours into each day between 7pm and 7am. However, no one is taking me seriously on that issue. Cest La Vie!

Looks like most of what DW added were additional campaign start options (Elf, Orc, Tentacle, etc). He also added some new pictures, but none of those are in conflict with the ones used in this mod, so copying over as normal caused no issues.

Was your computer bogged down and working slow when this occurred? For the past week nothing I've been able to do has been able to make that happen. Something is different between you and I and I need to discover it. Have you tried deleting the old version of Mercom before installing the new one?

The mods I have are: Dark World: Reborn Dark World: Toska Rebels and Warmongers More Council Members NoxBestia's Darkest Perversions She died in a duel and my computer was running fine. I also deleted the old version. It's weird, on the old version the succession was working fine.
Mr_Treason Posted March 5, 2017 Author Posted March 5, 2017 I'll dig into it deeper tonight and see if I can figure anything out. In my playtesting at one point I went through 100 successions and every new commander was a RedHandVet with a custom portrait, a big dick, and an attitude to match.

(Dark World Reborn has integrated the larger event windows mod made by ngppgn.) Below are some screenshots of the new event windows in action. I haven't not completely updated the mod to take advantage of the new event window size for narrative events. That will be a process over a couple of updates. (Wish me luck!) Personally i hate the way the images look in the top right corner of the event window. I feel like the images need to fade differently or something. Going to have to learn some new tricks with Gimp.

(1.47) Also, not that I'm gonna experience it in the foreseable future, since I'm gonna make all the mercenary characters immortal anyway but, what is supposed to happen one Freja & co die? Are new versions of these archetype characters spawn?

The intention is for the RedHand to be relevant through hundreds of years of gameplay. There are other characters that will be introduced as well. Veronica and Aela, are currently in the works. Aela from Skyrim, she'll be a futanari, and a werewolf daughter of Fenris. She'll be fighting against her wolf blood and will have opportunities for new interactions with Fenris depending on his proximity to the players kingdom. Lots and lots of plans, very little time. Veronica is a red haired berserker lunatic cut from similar cloth as Harley.

Going to have to learn some new tricks with Gimp. I found out what was causing the bug with the succession. It was the Rebels and Warmongers mod. I deactivated it and everything works fine.

Just imagin it: succubus demoness of the steppes, in the first month got an event where Fenris made me his botxh though he was far away. Later on, I manage to imrpison him, torture him with poetry (he wanted violecnce? Ha!) enslaved him and married him. Now he is my immortal husband and marshall. Imagine the futanari warrior trying to slay hin in that situation! Anyway, looking forward to the upfate.

Mr_Treason Posted March 7, 2017 Author Posted March 7, 2017 I guess they kept asking for concubines from the Red Hand... Does that bother anyone? I could try to look into curbing it. In other news, I just read through the changelog and I don't think there will be any issues using Mercenary Commander with the new update/DLC. Of course I'll get onto it as soon as I can to verify personally once I get the game tomorrow evening. That said, we shall have to wait and see what, if anything, DewGuru himself has to do to keep Dark World up to date.
