Gap Between Hands and Arms, But Only Beast Races

This is for males and females, though the males are just a simple seam instead of a blatant difference in wrist size. Female hands have their wrists shrink with body weight, with max weight being similar to the males, in that it's an obvious seam but not a clear difference in size.

Furthermore, the standard-skeleton females only look the way they do because my Bodyslide has a hands section. It unfortunately does not have a beast hands section.

For which gender? If it's only an issue for females and you have and run Bodyslide then it's likely that the mesh for the beast hands is not conformed to your female body. Happened to me.

If that's what's up then just take the hands to Bodyslide, load up the female body reference shape and fit them.

I'm also having the same problem. Google is being entirely unhelpful. I tried copying and renaming the hands mesh file but apparently I don't have the right file name or something, because it's not working.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated on this matter.

If you're using replacement meshes and the vertex count between the wrist seam and hand seam is at ALL different, there will be a gap.

There a reason Halofarm and others use the body vertex count to determine what the hand joining vertex count looks like, even if the rest of the hand is super high poly or something.

The female beast hands have the name of femalehandsargonian_0.nif and femalehandsargonian_1.nif, and go in the same folder as all other body asset files (meshes/actors/character/character assets).  Copying/renaming regular female hands would probably fix the wrist gap but I have no clue if that would cause other issues such as texture problems.  My solution a long time ago was to simply extract the vanilla meshes from the Skyrim - Meshes.bsa file with BSAopt, put them into outfit studio with my reference body, and fiddle with them until the gap was as small as possible.  I have no visible gaps on my UUNP khajiit or argonians.

The beast hands really should be included as a default item in Bodyslide, but unfortunately they seem to have mostly been forgotten about.

Would you mind sharing the hands with me? I completely understand if you don’t want to. I’m both annoyed and frustrated tying to make this work.
