wait, what's outfit studio? also, this is not a body nif file. I want to upload a deck of card meshes and textures in 3ds format I downloaded on the Internet.

tried to import 3ds with blender and the console says it imported it, but there's nothing appearing on the screen and I have the same brick I had when I first opened the program in the middle of the screen.

Outfit studio is part of bodyslide it's a skyrim mod/tool. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49015/?

I have used outfit studio many times to get a item into a nif other things might have to be done later if they are not a armor/outfit but at least it'll be in a nif. Outfit studio can only import .OBJ and .FBX files into it.

Only other way would be blender or 3dmax. Blender is free 3dmax isn't.

Perhaps it would be good to explain: The situation and what the result should be. Exactly.

OutfitStudio is only interesting when there are skinned-meshes (skinned with skeleton bones)

the blue.jpg is supposed to be used for the 6 faces of the deck's cover I think, but man... I made a nif file and tried to use it, but it didn't work LOL! I am so pissed, it would be great if you could make a functional nif file. I would just have to attach a script and test it after that.

derp, is it difficult? If you can manage to somehow make a nif file for either a backgammon board, checker board, chess board or playing card deck, it would allow me to make something.

That file is something like 36 megs. First thing you are going to have to do is wack 50% or more of those polys from this file or remove some of the cards. There is also at least 3 spots that the author of the file spammed their name in the file you will have to remove those mesh pieces. I tried using the site above to convert it to .OBJ but the site can't handle the file. I then tried converting it to .OBJ using blender after removing the authors spammed name and the file size is now 125 megs. Took a long time for it to convert the file. The site above still can't handle the file. Trying to load it into outfit studio crashes it.

So you are either going to have to remove a lot of polys from the mesh pieces or a bunch of the cards from the file.
