While that's definitely true, at the same time these people are resources that EA has to invest in. Money that could be better spent beefing up bug fixes and QA (???).

In my opinion, QA is a non-existent joke as every pack they release is a buggy messy that also introduce new bugs into existing packs. And of course, those bugs never seem to get fixed once they get introduced into the game. Only the ones that make the pack unplayable. I could probably wipe out half my mods folder fixing broken crap if the opposite were true.

Oh, but let's spend the money giving Bella a CAS make-over because that shit is important.

 

Anyway, to prevent myself from further derailing this thread and keep it on topic, I'll stop the rant and let my new sim sum up my feelings about the subject.

I don't think it's an either or, I do think this is something that requires way less man hours, skill and training than coding and programming that they just decided they might do to generate some kind of attention for whatever. Not saying that they shouldn't be doing the bug fixes or QA and that that isn't somewhat lacking. 

Anyway, the whole thing did make me want to have a look at at brush up on some of my own maxis sim makeovers (well remakes, I never actually used the their base appearance at all in making my versions).
