Lewdci Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 I've recently tried to reinstall sexlab after clearing out most of my mods (including all previous instances of sexlab and FNIS), but even after downloading them again, following the directions from the setup page, FNIS doesn't pick up any sexlab information. I have a few mods for it such as Submit, SoS, Enchantress, Cumshot, and Solutions, but regardless of those mods the animations never happen. I can get dialog and sound, but not animations. I've tried to look up past solutions but I've already downloaded Sexlab directly into my Skyrim data folder, tried downloading it into my MO folder (I mainly use Mod Organizer by the way), and I have set FNIS to run executable through Mod Organizer. And even then it doesn't pick up the Sexlab information. This seems to be a reoccurring problem based off my google search, but no definite answer.
Nazzzgul666 Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 When using MO, i'd not recommend to install anything direct in your data folder, always use MO. What does the FNIS report look like? Does FNIS recognize other mods than sexlab?
Lewdci Posted November 21, 2016 Author Posted November 21, 2016 Which file you install? FULL or Patch? Full. I'm using FNIS 6.3, so there isn't any patch files aside from optional things like spells or creature packs, which I have no interest in using. If you mean when I'm actually running FNIS, I only run the skeleton arm patch since I do use the XP32 Maximum Skeleton. When using MO, i'd not recommend to install anything direct in your data folder, always use MO. What does the FNIS report look like? Does FNIS recognize other mods than sexlab? I did both, and neither seemed to work. I've been told that FNIS needs to be downloaded directly into the Skyrim folder, that it needs to be extracted through MO, as well as executed, but nothing. Here's the report: >>Warning: Bad installation. Generator not run from a Skyrim installation directory.<<FNIS Behavior V6.3 11/21/2016 11:09:35 AM Skyrim: ??.?? - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\ (Steam) Generator: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\data\FNIS Behavior 6.3\Data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\GenerateFNISforUsers.exe Skeleton(hkx) female: Default (99 bones) male: Default (99 bones) Patch: "SKELETON Arm Fix" Reading FNISBase V6.3 ... Nazzzgul666 Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Not entirely sure if that's the reason FNIS doesn't work, but you'll need a custom skeleton if you want any sexlab animations getting to work. Did you install one?

I am awans checking on 2 on the top from list below buttons. Edit: I am correct. You selected only skelly patch.
fore Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 This seems to be a reoccurring problem based off my google search, but no definite answer. It's right. It's a reoccuring unsolved problem that users don't read the warnings. What can I do to improve that users look at information FNIS provides. Warning: Bad installation. I'm just frustrated seeing you guys (and myself) having to react on this kind of user negligence again and again. And I get especially angry when user make posts like "FNIS not detecting Sexlab AGAIN", name this a "reoccuring problem based off my google search", but still neither check the FNIS output THEMSELVES, nor mention the warning or post the FNIS output without being asked. Sorry for the rant, but every now and then I need such burst.

I can't describe how grateful i am to you, your work made the difference from a game i play for some hours to a game i play for years.

Sorry for the rant, but every now and then I need such burst. Like the others I am so very, very grateful for all your hard work and considerable research into a problem that Bethesda should have known better than to create in the first place. One thing you might want to consider though is making it a little easier to get that FNIS output for posting. Right now you can click on the text but you cannot use CTRL-A to select all the text, you have to use the mouse to select it instead. A "Copy Output to Clipboard" button would hopefully fix the problem of people taking screenshots and posting them instead of the text (often they don't get all of the text).. Another possibility would be to create a log file of that text every time it's run but that would be a bit more work and there would be people who could never find that file no matter how prominently you placed it.
