Invisible Textures with Devious Devices

Ok so for DD i use the cursed loot but when i get equipped with the rubber suit of any sort or hood its not purple but invisible just gone and if i drop it i cant see it ive tried reinstalling all texture based thing zaz, DDA, DDE, DDI, but it doesnt work ive read their is another zaz pack but i cannot find one if its even true please help.

You need to download both files in ZaZ page, 2MB and 89MB ones. This should fix it, I assume you have only downloaded the patch (2MB file).

After installing main pack install patch again.

Posted

There is another Zaz pack - the Zaz Extension Pack in the adult downloads section - but it's not required for Cursed Loot and has nothing to do with rubber suits. The main Zaz pack has nothing to do with the rubber suit meshes or textures either.

A couple of possibilities:

- are you certain you have the full version of Cursed Loot and not just the 5.6 to 5.7 patch? The full mod requires you to download the text file for 5.7, open it, paste the web address it includes into your browser, and download it from the page you arrive at. It is too big for the loverslab file size limit so can't be uploaded here.

- have you built the suits in bodyslide? It's possible the meshes themselves aren't in place at all until you've done that.

EDIT: Cursed Loot has been updated to a new version, and all devious mods now need the meshes building in bodyslide.

Have same issue with new version of the mods

I didn t build suit busy do i have to build EACH suit? :(

i don't even know how to do that i only did with body once?

P.S: solved you have to launch bodyslide 2 click the button in the lower left (batch build or something like that) and it builds all DD and everything works fine then :)

I have the same problem. One example is the black ebonite pony boots, they wont show up. And often when wearing full gear the body is invisible underneath. Have built in bodyslide, ran loot, tried wrye patch, redownloaded DDa, DDi, and DDx, ran FNIS. Nothing seems to work, still have lots of invisible items.

Oh ... after  installed this mod i had all stuff from DD :( lets hope someone else knows what's happening.

I use Mod Organizer (MO) and everything lined up perfectly -- all the DD things appeared. My only mistake was missing the batch build button and only building my body.

Okay, so leon6er, what probably happened is that either your Bodyslide didn't install where it wanted to go in your Skyrim data directory (so other installed mods couldn't automatically drop their build data into spots Bodyslide can see) or that those other mods (like DD) aren't dropping in the right places. Or, of course, if you're running MO then you need to make Bodyslide an executable so that all the mod files are made visible.

More clearly:

Case 1 problem: Bodyslide mis-installed and/or doesn't match its intended folder structure.

Case 1 fix: Reinstall Bodyslide with a mod manager. Manual installs are modding seppuku

Case 2 problem: DD mods are dropping their files in the wrong places.

Case 2 fix: This is very, very unlikely if the mods are working in game.

Case 3 problem: You use MO and MO isn't letting Bodyslide see the files because it's not aware Bodyslide exists.

Case 3 fix: Add Bodyslide.exe as an executable the same way you added FNIS. If you use MO and DD, but don't have FNIS, your installation has bigger problems than missing DD meshes.

... Or it's probably what merManc says in the next post.

In that picture you have the group set for Unified UNP, and so the only options in the batch build list are items in that group, which means only the bodies. The devious items are in their own groups.

In the second drop down menu at the top (above where it says Save and Save As...) select either nothing at all to have everything listed in the batch build window allowing you to then deselect anything you don't want to build, or select all of the devious groups you want (some devices might be in the Unassigned group, but I can't remember.) There should be HDT and non-HDT versions available for some, so only pick the type you want to use.

Again, manual installations is a terrible idea. I don't know how bashed installations work, but as long as you pull out the specific resource files DD has that are supposed to be visible to bodyslide and only install those manually, it should work. I think. Actually, I have no idea. MO makes everything too easy.

I have had the same issue so I clicked batch build, now I can see the items. However they dont fit properly, especially the chastity bra and belt. The bra is sort of squashed in and the chastity belt is way to big, I mean really big. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

Found the problem, had cum inflation on from naked dungeons, was causing the extra big size. Still not fitting properly, but way better

For the bra bit, try turning off breast node in the devious devices mod menu.

I forgot HDT Extensions, but I've added them now. I have installed Mod Organizer in a different folder than User/Program Files(x86)/steam etc. Can that be a problem? Just for the record suits make the body invisible, same goes for pony boots and gloves. Corsets and belts are invisible, but the skin underneath can be seen as if nothing is on top of it. Collars all work, same goes for gags and blindfolds. Ankle chains and cuffs work aswell. Armbinders do too.

Also the prison does not work. When the warden gives me the first task of licking it just doens't work.

EDIT: included mod image

Mind if i grab the post to tech support side where it belongs... ? So did you find a solution yet?

- XP32MSE should be under other mods on the left side list, just in case. Don't let anything ever overwrite it.

- You have SOSPlugin enabled for racemenu but you don't have actual SOS mod.

- What does FNIS say when you build, any warnings? You are starting both FNIS and Bodyslide from the MO menu as you do SKSE, right?

- Make sure that all group filters in the top of Bodyslide are not selected. But go check filters anyway, in the choose menu there should be DDX and DDA options listed. But again i stress this, do not select any of them. At least on the first time on new body you have to build every single item it can find. And DDX/DDA may contain uncategorized/wrong-categorized armors too like other mods.

- You have to select HDT body and preset in Bodyslide top left corner, and then select it again in the batch build dialog.

- Last but not least be sure none of your mods are for SE version of Skyrim.

- Oh and you should expand the name column in the plugins list, right now you can't see which one is Cursed Loot and which one its LAL addon.

In case anyone is still having problems with this, I figured out a simple solution that worked for me.  I noticed that for some reason the Bodyslide was creating a Meshes folder in the main Skyrim directory instead of in Skyrim/Data.  I just copied this new Meshes folder into Skyrim/Data, overwriting any files it asks you to, and all outfits and bodies now appear!
