nobodycares12345678 Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Hi. Complete Anime Overhaul Version 2 is currently available on Mega at https://mega.nz/#!xldxmYrJ!mMd5qbK_pDcw4alpQRD2nXdo2K2QFavAC520io1nap0 However, it's over 23 gigabytes. Mega is not going to let me download a 23 gigabyte file with a free account. So I was wondering if anyone could make the file available via torrent or another means whereby I can download such a large file without having to spend money. Please let me know if this is possible. Thank you.
Sylandras Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 There is a workaround that I did to get it. I got both version one and two of his mod. Import the file to your cloud drive (you'll need an account of course). Then download their megasync application (it doesn't have viruses or anything). Then it should sync up your mega account files and download the entire mod, without it costing anything. I haven't played the mod yet to see what is like in-game. Well I did for a total of 5 minutes on version two and around 3 minutes on version one. But, its a compilation and that probably won't be liked in most Skyrim communities. Version two (version one doesn't) also looks to include the entire Skyrim directory, but it still requires steam to use. On the plus side, I didn't need to spend 100s of hours figuring out how to install mods, load orders, getting tools to work and all that crap. No idea how anyone can find that fun. Sadly, I can't play it on my laptop as its too intense for my laptop to handle. I get 20-30 frames on average. It looks amazing though, and looks vastly better than the new Skyrim that is out. Its very...hardware intensive though. I couldn't play it long with how low the frames I was getting. Also don't like most of the male NPCs turning into females, but still sound like males. Its kinda creepy. Version one is also creepier because most of the characters look like underage anime girls. I guess they get turned to that customized monli race. Version two makes them look older, which I obviously prefer. Version one actually performs worse as well, and includes some very outdated and dangerous mods (like crimson blood which I had to spend time removing). I guess it wasn't changed much because its the original, and the guy wanted to leave it as the original person made it. Version two, the mods are either updated, or modernized. Better performance (which isn't saying much when I get 20-30 frames), and far better stability. It really needs a very high end, or at least, modern PC build. My laptop, the CPU on it sucks and isn't really designed for something so intensive. And my graphics card only has 2 GB of video ram, which is a no no for this mod. Also, fun fact. Version one of this compilation was supposedly actually posted here on Loverslab years ago, according to a google search I found for it. The person who put up the download on moddb said it was appolyn and fabien, and an old archived post shows the "mod" was actually removed on loverslab at one point in time. When I looked, you could still access the thread because of internet archives. But I tried again and couldn't find it again. Don't remember what I searched for it to come up, or maybe it disappeared for some reason. Overall, version two looks way better than version one. Even the characters look much better quality. Sadly, I can't play it when I get frames as low as 20. Very intensive mod.
monsta88 Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 A n00b question: How do I start it? Edit: Ignore it, I found the MO dir inside.
monsta88 Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 This mod made me realize I know **** about optimizing games. This looks like 10 times better than my usual games and I had to limit the fps because it runs 3 times faster too and the 100+ fps was causing issues.

This looks like 10 times better than my usual games and I had to limit the fps because it runs 3 times faster too and the 100+ fps was causing issues. Wish I got that kind of performance! My poor i5 660 3.3ghz can't run it. Its not really even a real i5 CPU, its a dual core. Only two cores even show up lol. Its the cheapest, crappiest CPU you can get lol. If I was rich, I'd make a youtube video of me destroying it lol. It has trouble with most modded Skyrim setups though, not just this mod. Anyway. How do you like it? I never got a chance to try out the gameplay and actual content. Except running into a dragon, lagging. Running, going into whiterun and lagging even more. Once I got to whiterun and got 15-20 FPS, I went into the inn and got off. I really need to upgrade my CPU, but very expensive. I'd need a new motherboard/ram (but ram is cheap), the CPU itself and one or two other things. Though I might get a hand me down from a family member if he ends up upgrading his CPU. The mod comp looks awesome though, and looks like there is a ton to do. Looks vastly better than vanilla Skyrim and looks way better than the special edition. Its pretty intensive though. But no idea what its really like, since I never really was able to experience it.

But no idea what its really like, since I never really was able to experience it. I haven't played it much and I'm unsure if I will in this form. It is Requiem based which i'm unfamiliar with. It also has iNeed and Wet & Cold, so for me it is a quite hard combo. I had to try a fight versus 2 wolves like 10 times to somehow win and it was only on Adept level. Then I met 3 Draugr outside Riverwood (don't ask me how they got there...) and I managed to fight only one, but had like 0 chance, so left them alone. So it is quite hard, especially that I don't know Requiem at all. I don't really like that everyone is female and basically look the same, it is quite immersion breaking when you hear a young elven woman speak with male voice. It also makes very hard to distinguish NPCs. The rich flora makes it very hard to see the enemies and basically you have 0 chance to find the dead bodies to loot them. It is kind of a sensory overload, it is like I'm playing a new game, I have hard time recognizing otherwise well-known areas. I had to figure out the load order on the left panel of MO as well, the mods were in a quite random order, overwriting each other randomly. I also added OneTweak, because it was missing from the pack and I'd say that's quite an essential mod. As for the FPS, it is really strange, in my normal games it never goes over 60, maybe I have some hidden SKSE setting preventing that. But in this mod, it went up to 150 sometimes and caused a lot of issues. So I had to set it up in ENB to not go over 60. (i7 3770K, 16GB RAM, GTX 980 Ti, but I worked for it ) Atm, I'm considering playing some more, to learn a bit about Requiem. I disabled iNeed (i'm not a huge fan of this kind of mods) and probably will do the same to Wet&Cold. I saw a cheat option in Requiem MCM, I might try that so I won't get frustrated when I meet a harder enemy than a Skeever. Btw, any idea which mod shrinks and moves the compass to the bottom of the screen?

Btw, any idea which mod shrinks and moves the compass to the bottom of the screen? No, not sure what mod does that. I noticed that too in my game as well. And I agree, females everywhere is pretty immersion breaking...especially since "males" still sound like males, even though they look like females. Think you can upload your mod order (or PM it to me)? I think the way the creator set up the mod list, he didn't do a very good job with setting up a proper load order. I think that is partly why my FPS is so low.
monsta88 Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 For those who want to try this: This mod is crazy. I am playing it w/o cheat, but I have to use every exploit (AI stupidity) possible to stay alive. Still, I can't go to the very basic quest sites (like bounties from the inn), because the wilderness is full with monsters which I have 0 chance to win against. The starter weapons do 50-60 HP damage. I managed to get one which does 334 (from one of the Draugr massacring Riverwood for some reason) and with skill improvement I do 480 damage now. That sounds cool, but the fact is, a simple crab can kill me with 2 hits. Archers kill me with one single shot (every time!) with a very bad bow and the worst possible arrow. And the wilderness is full with monsters which I can't kill with 1 hit, so they probably manage to get 1 hit in. Even if they don't kill me with 1 hit, they usualy go in groups. For example in the last chamber of Bleak Falls Barrow, there is usually just the 1 draugr who comes out of the coffin. Now there were like 20 of them. While most of them is just 1 hit to kill, it takes a LOT of tactics to somehow separate and lure 1-2 away and somehow avoid the arrows. The NPCs don't help at all. I was chased around in Whiterun by 5 Shades, the guards were just ignored them. All other NPCs react similarly until they are actually attacked. Also, there are dragons around from level 1. So if a crab can kill me with 2 hits, you can guess how the fights go versus a dragon. So basically I find a dragon, reload, then go another direction. The guy who did this is a masochist. Or I'm just too n00b for Requiem.
Sylandras Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Thanks for the load order I actually got better performance than I was getting, so that is a bonus. I'm getting 5 extra FPS, which is quite a nice boost when low on FPS. The guy who did the mod didn't know how to do a proper load setup lol. Also, as far as challenge goes. I think the guy said he wanted it to be at least sort of like a rogue-like experience...so...I'd probably agree he is a masochist Except without permadeath. I haven't had much time to play it today. However...yeah...dragons randomly around at level 1 is quite a challenge lol. Pretty much need to go far around or just not go there and choose another place. I made it to Riverwood and it was being attacked by Draugrs and a bunch of NPCs died. Was going to reload or cheat resurrect them, but figured I'd just let the game world progress naturally without cheats. The only thing I can say as far as gameplay goes...its the hardest mod/game I've ever played. Most roguelikes I don't die nearly as much lol. But it is quite a sensory overload like was pointed out. And its like almost a new game and not really like Skyrim anymore. Also its not Requiem making it harder (well it is to a degree, but...), because I've used Requiem before, it wasn't nearly as challenging in my own setups. It was harder than normal Skyrim, but not like this.
Sylandras Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Does anyone know if older Requiem is harder than the new Requiem? Something in this mod is making damage vastly lower against Draugrs and even bandits. Monsta noticed this too. He noticed even in sneak with a bow (so a sneak attack), barely any damage done. I tested it out and all the enemies are bullet sponges. Is it even Requiem doing that? I used the latest Requiem (that needs java) and it wasn't nearly like this. So I'm thinking there is a mod that either enhances the difficulty of requiem to a stupid amount and dropping player damage, or there are mod(s) included that just make it difficult in general (which enhances Requiem challenge). And requiem does add some challenge, but not like this. I know the creator wanted a masochist rogue-like experience...but this is crazy lol. I don't really want to drop the difficulty down below medium, but I might have to. I think for someone to really enjoy this mod, they'd have to like the hardest rogue-likes I still enjoy the mod and all, but it sure gets frustrating dying every few minutes.
Sylandras Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 It looks nice, and if I had a better PC it would perform a lot better. But the gameplay itself is too annoying. Vanilla Skyrim is rather too easy, but this is an entire different ball park. Literally played for 4 hours and barely made any progress at all. Granted the low FPS didn't help. But, everything kills you in less than a few hits and barely do any damage to the enemy. I dunno how the creator found it fun, but I guess there is a niche amount of people who don't mind dying every minute or two on average and like the brutal challenge. You literally can barely do anything in the mod, and it would take ages to make any progress. Even then, the dragons are so hard you can't even make a dent in their health and they kill you in 1 single fast hit. Maybe good for someone who loves that kind of challenge. But I dunno, I actually find it harder (or at least as hard) as dark souls lol. If you like that kind of challenge, I guess its okay. But its hard as hell. I'll probably personally go back to my own skyrim setup.
Sylandras Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Well, it isn't my mod, but been keeping an eye on it. I downloaded it again (I downloaded version1 because its a smaller download and I like it a lot more than when I did version 2, mostly because it performs better on my PC. But also because its less buggy from what I saw of version 2), but looks like I should have waited. I spent 4 days downloading it (the smaller version 1) from mega.nz, and it looks like its now available to download straight from MODDB. Would have saved so much time, but ah well. I guess his newer version that is more up to date still has to use mega.nz, but fuck if I want to spend an entire week downloading it. Mega.nz is terrible for large downloads lol. If it took 4 days downloading 11gb...I can't imagine downloading 20+gb of mega.nz crap or however big his version 2 is lol. Here is a link to it (it was linked above in a reply, but I'll link it again) http://www.moddb.com/mods/skyrim-anime-overhaul I capped FPS to 30 through Nvidia profile inspector, and that provided a lot better performance. The game is also a lot more stable, but not sure why...maybe because I put it on my SSD? Maybe capping FPS provides a more stable game? Not sure. Last time I tried this, I crashed every 15 to 30 minutes...but I just had two days of 8 hours and 11 hours and no crashes at all. Maybe luck, not sure...but I got WAY further than I did before. I mostly gave up just because how many crashes I was having, and how challenging it was and dying so much made me rage quit lol. I think capping FPS did provide better stability though, because I would go from 60 FPS to all the way down to 19 to 21 FPS which is when the crashing happened. A better CPU is needed (mine is over 10 years old), but can't afford one. This time around though (gameplay wise), its been actually a lot of fun. Since I'm not crashing anymore, dying is a lot less annoying. And now I can actually defend myself, plus if I do die from a random pre-determined dragon spawn...I have learned how to avoid those and go around, so it isn't too bad. But there are so many random spawns (some pre-determined), that Riverwood is a ghost town except a couple survivors lol. Even lost my quest NPCs rofl. I at least am having a lot of enjoyment. Especially compared to my first go of this. Would be even better with a more modern CPU, but ah well...still pretty fun. If you get it, I definitely recommending capping FPS if your PC isn't as good or on the older side (if you have a good CPU and GPU don't really need to do that though)
JustinLovesHentai Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 If anyone wonders, this is the mod. I wanted this mod so i downloaded it and installed it through NMM it work fine when i "showracemenu" but when i clicked on it, it crashed my game maybe i didnt install it right ?

belrix55 Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 This is about as close to anime as I get. http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/3330-full-version-anime-race-all-in-one/ It's an anime race through racemenu, doesn't change any npcs, just a pc, so may be a bit immersion breaking being the only one.
