Rimworld Modding

So, I've been playing Rimworld lately and I was loving the game, however I felt like the game could use some sexual content as well. It already has a lot of depth and interesting mechanics, such as capturing and imprisoning people, a drug system,  a relationship system, and more still. 

 

I tried for a short time to look into what it would take to mod the game as it already has a bustling mod scene, but with my limited coding skills I was unable to figure it out as of yet. (Not giving up though) Adding a sexual system into the game seems like it won't be that difficult after I figure out the structure of the game.

 

Anyway, I just wanted to bring attention to this game and ask if anyone would be interested in working on some mods for it.

I'm a big fan of Rimworld myself, and I agree, the game has some potential.

There was a "kinky" mod, in the past, that added lewd perks like "chronic fapper" or "nympho", but it's quite dead now. That's a shame.

Hey thanks for that I should be able to use this as somewhat of a guide. I did find a wiki with a fairly in depth tutorial on modding Rimworld, so I'll be going through it on my spare time.

My big issue with the game is the characters seem limited to three traits, unless I'm overlooking something. That doesn't leave much room for possibilities, since one of the three might go towards attraction, then maybe one towards a sexual-based trait, and then you're left with only one just one for the sake of personality? That's not enough imo. I did find a way to unlock the points for unlimited stats, but the traits still seem hard-coded to just three.

Sex is already in game, it's just about as visually detailed as anything else in Rimworld. :)

 

I worked up a basic nude mod back in a9, but the game doesn't distinguish body types by gender. Even the "female" body isn't actually female, it's just never assigned to a male character by any backstory. I've been waiting for the CCL to be updated to a15 to take a look at how the unique faces mod works and see if dynamically adding sexual characteristics is plausible, but it's likely beyond me.

 

The trait system is a bit of a downer as well. It was fine when it was just personality quirks, but now that being gay (or bi with the expanded mod) costs you a slot in addition to any theoretical phillias, yeah, you don't get much.

You can have more than 3. I usually edit my save file to give my starting colonist some additional traits that help lessen some of the more tedious parts of the early game. The traits after the 3rd one all take effect, it's just the UI only shows those first 3.

I tried this mod a few times and while there are some things I like, the entire purpose of the mod seems to have a negative effect on your colony.  A debuff from being sexually frustrated?  Fine.  That can be worked around by using a prisoner.  This pretty much ruins the prisoner, still fair so far.  The main problem comes with STDs.  Even if your careful before too long one of your colonists will become infected "from the environment."  The times this happened to me always seems to target my original colonist(s).  Never mind it being brought in either through a creation choice or from new colonists.  Now enter the nymphs.  They add little value with limited job options based on their type and instant join your colony so making any disposal to cause unhappiness.  When your population is thin, you might be tempted to make do.  Not only do they seem to be harbingers of an environmentally gained STD, they make it their every effort to contract the disease themselves, then spread it to everyone else.  There is an option to neuter them through surgery but I haven't tried that option yet.  The mod does add genitalia with some different sizes that affect sex satisfaction but this still doesn't outweigh all the negatives.

 

I would love a version either without the magical appearance of STD's.  Spawning them on a new colonist seems more fair to make a decision on how to deal with them or not.  

 

If your a masochistic gamer, you might enjoy this mod a bit more than I did.  I'm going to keep an eye out for something similar but a little less punishing.

You know you can edit the configurations for all of that right? I'm loving this mod now that I've made:

1) HIV curable.

2) Warts and Herpes cures in like 2 days.

3) Syphilis cures in a few days (on medicine).

4) Less of a debuff from sexual frustration.

5) More of a buff from sexual satisfaction.

 

You can make the STDs WAAAAY less frustrating and just concentrate on bonetown.

hmm Never seen the rape aspects in this mod barring the sleep assault.

 

Designate a prisoner as a "comfort-prisoner". Your colonists will use them to relieve sexual frustration. Their personality affects how violent the rape is. Bloodthirsty or Psychopathic prisoners are extremely violent when raping and get an even bigger mood bonus for it.

is there any way to stop Nymp from joining?

You can use the debug tool "Destroy" to delete them. After that it's like they never existed to the other colonists.
