Stahlvormund101 Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Hey guys, this may be a stupid question (kinda feels like it to me), but how I do I get clothes from a .nif file into Skyrim? I'm using MO and obv simply loading the directory with the .nifs as a mod doesnt work, so I probably have to create a mod from these? Or what am I missing? Example: I got the Heatwavedress.nif _0 and _1 or the G0003 Cha Pi .nifs for various outifts. The Cha Pi's are shown in Bodyslide 2, and I did a batch build, but now I dont know how to continue. The Heatwavedress did not show up in Bodyslide even though I created a directory for it in the Bodyslide directory. I feel like I am missing something obvious here... Could you please help me? PS: I did google for it first ofc, but didnt got to satisfactory results.
myuhinny Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Getting clothes from a nif into game is done through a .esp. Most mods come with a .esp. I don't use MO I use NMM and with NMM you just drop the rar/zip into it's folder where it stores your files at and when you run NMM it will show the mods then you just click on them and install them. Not sure but I think you install them manually for MO. Here are somethings that might help you. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/20492-mod-organizer/ LL MO thread. http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer MO step. http://forum.step-project.com/forum/62-mod-organizer-support/ step site.
Stahlvormund101 Posted October 9, 2016 Author Posted October 9, 2016 MO works like that too, however, the .nifs and mods I have didnt come with an .esp. Ok, then I do need to get the clothes into an .esp. Dunno how I would do that. Gonna look for that now.
myuhinny Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 You will need the CK (creation kit) and then a tutorial or 2 to see how to do it. http://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Category:Getting_Started
