Deep Red Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 I prefer UNP because it's more life-like, and I'm not a fan of large breasts (sorry you boob lovers out there ). One of the things I like about UNP body is its legs look better, and I'm more of a legs kind of guy; CBBE kinda looks like women have swollen ankles. I used CBBE for a while and was quite happy with it until Dimon came along with UNP. CBBE seems to have more armor and clothing mods though, but UNP is starting to slowly catch up now that it's been around for a bit. If you're into boobs, you could still get a good result with UNPB, but there just aren't a whole lot of mods that support it yet. Also, if you're into making custom body textures, or want to add a few tattoos to your character, UNP has slightly better UV mapping than CBBE. Caliente has corrected as much of it as possible though so you can't really notice it until you start messing with the textures.

Knoloa Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Used CBBE for a long time, I even struggled with Bodyslide and CB++ to make the perfect body. Then, UNPB happened : Realistic bodies (your character have a top model body like the CBBE one, but with better and more detailed anatomy, she won't look like a doll), cover breast size from flat to CBBE-large, and it's compatible with BBB. Overall, I find the UNP bodies to look better, especially with Navetsea's textures. The downside being that UNPB is still new and only have a few armor / clothing working with it. Now, for CBBE's defense, CBBE has more armors/clothings, and has a LOT of customization once you start using the advanced features of Bodyslide. You can make chubby, fat, and skinny bodies, and even balloon tits. Same with the ass. It's also a matter of taste. I completely fell for UNPB once I tried it, but the best option is to try CBBE, UNP/B, and even ADEC, and see for yourself.

Unless you like plastic looking girls. I personaly use UNPB BBP with my main char and CBBEV3M BBP with a custom body texture and Caliente's bodyslide tool on another char. I like both but I have a preference for UNPB.

Arrionso Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 I find UNP way more appealing than CBBE. The crazy proportions on CBBE as well as the overly skimpy armor mods just aren't to my taste. UNP has some fantastic stuff that looks both great and reasonable. The UNP Female Armor mod was also exactly what I was looking for when trying out both mods. That pretty much sold me on it.

Arqtyk Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 i used both unp and cbbe for a while and i can say that cbbe is a bit better if you use bodyslide and some custom textures, especially when now bodyslide has many presets from oblivion bodies and skyrim ones + tons of armoors are exclusives for cbbe, so this choice is obvious. But recently i came across LadyBody, which impressed me even more than anything before, and when there will be more armours and outfits for this body i will definitely use this one.

Better man test for a time the two bodies, for one month test CBBE and other month UNP, and dont forget to test the two bodies using different faces.

[/quote'] The body underneath the armor would look weird and distorted. This is due to incompatibilities in their textures. The skin will look like it's melting off or something. Not a pretty sight..

[/quote'] From my own experiences, UNP handles CBBE textures a little better than the opposite combination. However, you'll notice odd distortions around the waist and hips area on a UNP body using CBBE textures. The nipples are also slightly higher than normal. However, if the clothes cover these areas, you can generally use CBBE clothing with UNPB with minor texture oddities around the abdomen zone. UNP and UNPB use the same UV map I think, so any skin textures designed for UNP will work for UNPB, and vice versa. As tempting as it is, I've never used CBBEv3M, so I don't know if the mapping is different. I'd assume since it only enlarges the butt, boobs, and thighs(I think) it should still remain the same thing when using those armors with UNPB.

[/quote'] yes, you can still using the CBBE armor, if its a fully covered skin tho ( which i presume you not )..but if you using armors were there some skin shown than the skin texture will slightly mess up..bcoz UNP and CBB3 has different UV map..idk i think someone made a compability texture than can runs well with both bodybase, just dont have many texture options tho. i'm using UNP, coz i really like "normal" shape,not big and not to skinny, and so far 100 max weight with base UNP already suits me well. i just tampered the waist and calves to make it bit more athletic.

[/quote'] I have considered CHS, because it's like the DM ver. of Oblivion, which was my favorite when with RA. Are there any good armor mods or good armor replacers(this is what I'm mainly looking for) you can recommend for this body?

Guest Vendayn Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 I actually really like UNPB (using a custom race that supports it)...a lot more detailed than CBBE is and a bit more my style. However, so few armors/clothing for it. I think it is newer, so hopefully it catches on.
