spadgas Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 the icon bar has a little red ! over the lock, technical details says "parts of the page you are viewing were not encrypted before being sent" and I've noticed when I deleted notifications I get a warning about some of the data being sent might not be encrypted. This seems to be newish, but I tend not to notice things until they've been going on for a while Is there anything I should do?*hugs*
myuhinny Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 What browser are you using? I'm using chrome and have never seen any warnings. Have you run malwarebytes to remove malware and spyware as well as run a virus remover to see if it is being caused by something that is on your computer?
spoonsinger Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 You could say which browser you are using. (and which version for that matter). Might help people who want to help. Yes I have checked for things on my pc that didnt't ought to be there. Using firefox and https everywhere (ltest versions of both, I just checked), I get this when logging into the site and entering my username/password, and as soon as I try to do a post. I had a poke round and the 'media' tab says it has 2 http images on the page when i try to do a post that are not sent over https: this one http://www.loverslab.com/public/style_images/carbon_blue/editor/icons.png and this one http://www.loverslab.com/public/style_images/carbon_blue/editor/toolbar_bg.png i hope i've done the right thing to make them display as text and not actual picture. On the main page it just tells you it's disabled insecure elements but doesn't tell you what :-( hugs
myuhinny Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 I think it has to do with https:// it seems sites that have https:// are secure like youtube but many sites don't have that and have the not secure warning. Chrome has a warning symbol in the search bar to the left in front of the site links. Right clicking on a page and going to inspect will show what all the errors are.
bjornk Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Don't think there's anything to worry about. HTTPS Everywhere probably fails to load some or all media files over HTTPS therefore you receive those warnings, which is probably because LL doesn't completely support HTTPS, although I believe sooner or later it'll have to.
