Content Consumer Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 I've had this happen a couple of times. It can totally ruin your wedding. From UESP: Sometimes after leaving a building or fast traveling, dragon skeletons will spawn and fall from the sky, without you fighting them at all. In some cases this is not a bug, but a result of the way the game saves data. When returning to an area where a dragon has been killed, after the cell has been unloaded from the buffer but before the corpse would have expired, the corpse is respawned in the air (as if a live dragon) and allowed to fall again. It talks about the skeleton, but I've had both skeletons and intact corpses do this. There's apparently a fix on Nexus. I haven't tried it, so I can't say whether or not it works well or without bugs. LINK

myuhinny Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 I have had it happen before I just go into the console click on the dragon and type in resurrect and hit enter. Then either kill it again or console kill it and the problem will go away.

I don't know if it was because I was using Deadly Dragons at the time, but the dragon resurrected, would not die no matter what I did to it, and really messed up its animations - wouldn't fly, just sat there jittering on the ground, and was hostile but could not attack me.
myuhinny Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Dead animals/creatures that are dead then resurrected will usually have their animations messed up. You might be able to open the console click on them and type in disable then enable to see if that fixes it. You could also use just disable then later on when the cell/creature resets it might come back being normal as something that is disabled through the console will not stay that way forever.
cleavagesweat Posted August 28, 2016 Author Posted August 28, 2016 the resurrect and kill don't work bc this fucking dragon won't give up his flesh.... disable no workie either. i really hate dragons... i thot this game was about sex not dragons...

This might be a longshot, but might as well try it: Go to some remote area where you will (hopefully) dump the dragon body, then open console and select something (preferably an actor. bandits are good), write down their refID, go somewhere else far away, then open console again, select your loyal dragon and type "moveto blahblah" where blahblah = the refID you saved from before. With any luck, this will convince it that once it's dead it should stop moving.

You could also try selecting the dragon and using "markfordelete" and that should get rid of it (might have to save and reload first).
cleavagesweat Posted August 28, 2016 Author Posted August 28, 2016 i have a fix. i resurrected the dragon and then left the area (left him alive to whine & rawr by himself). he did get one last lick in as i felt something jump up and bit me on the buttocks as i was running... came back later and he must have got bored and left.
jordisslave Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 This bug and the fix mod name made me laugh so much I resolved not to fix it. Disappointing that one of my dragons falls randomly from the sky but is invisible, only know it's there when the search prompt comes up.
