Elder Race and UNP

So, I'm playing a creepy hag using the Elder race, and whenever she gets naked*  there're weird bare patches on the seams of her thighs, gaps in the texture.

 

No matter WHAT texture replacer I use.

 

Is there any way to fix that?

Is the problem specific to the Elder race itself, or is it the same for the other races too? 

 

If it is just the Elder race with the problem, then it may be a mod that makes them use a body mesh that doesn't work with UNP or CBBE. 

 

If the problem also applies to all the races in the game, then it is likely a issue with the body mesh as well, only the correct compatible textures are not being used.

Female Elders do not share texture files like the females of the stock playable races.

This is the file path for the female elders.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\textures\actors\character\femaleold

 

If you don't have the femaleold folder that's the problem.  I think there are elder files in the SG Textures Renewal for UNP available over at Nexus.

It wasn't a texture problem, but a normal map problem, and SGTextures has normal maps for UNP elders.

 

Not great ones, mind, a bit too young looking for my taste, but they work.

Yeah, those normals shave about 20 years off of the elder race females.  I'm not a huge fan either but at least it fixes the issues.

Truth.

 

Honestly, the only incompatability between vanilla normals and unp is at the crotch. It should be possible to do a cut and past job on the textures in Gimp...

 

I'm not artist, but I'll give it a whirl later on tonight.

Instead of cutting and pasting it might be better to use the brush on the vanilla normal and try to duplicate what the UNP normal has.  From past experience I know that cutting away at msn normals in GIMP gives less than pristine results in-game.

Don't think I have the skills for the kinda subtle work. I'll give it a whirl, though.
