Stupid MCM BrutalRapers question

In BrutalRapers, there is an MCM slider that says "friends" and "allies". Can someone explain these sliders and their purposes (example if you can, please?).

Friends and Allies are people friendly or Allied to you. Such as the town of goodsprings after you save them, or your companions. The friends and Allies sliders for brutal rapers is, I believe, the chance they can rape you instead of a stranger. I could be wrong.

It basically adds another RNG check. If you have Allies set to 25%, then if an Ally of PlayerFaction is chosen to stalk the Player that NPC has a 25% of actually stalking you and a 75% chance of not doing anything.

But the MCM description says "100% means no change". Change in what? Was it a typo for "chance"? Then does that mean if I set the "friends" slider to 25% they would have a 75% chance of being raped?

So if I set it to 50%, there would be half/half chance of me or my ally getting stalked? Also, what is the difference between "friends" and "allies"- for example, which one would I choose to split the stalking frequency between a single companion and my female PC?

Edit: spelling. Typing off my auto correcting phone.

Friends and Allies are two different types of non-hostile faction relations used for NPCs in-game, the difference between the two is mainly how NPCs react if you accidentally (or "accidentally") shoot them during combat. It is not referring to your companion(s). If you set it to 50% then there is a 50% chance that a chosen Friend/Ally stalker will stalk you.

So I was using the thing wrong all this time. I assumed "friend" was friendly NPC and "ally" was companions, adjusting either would change the frequency of rapes happening to each one, sorta like joburg's active mode but split into 2 parts. So this is more for stalkers and not for victims then? Im guessing since FNV does not have certain NPC traits like responsibility and such, making a system that would prevent high ranking NPCs(or prominent NPCs) from being rape happy would be hard as there is no stat to call on. Unless a specific system was added into the game and applied to all NPC to govern default rape chance/percentage.

So if I increased the numbers to a high value, it makes more rapes happen to me as there is more chance for the game to see me as a viable target but if I reduced the numbers, it effectively reduces overall rape chance as well unless Im in hostile NPCs(red marker NPC or w/e the game regards as unfriendly NPCs) vicinity? Im guessing the sliders have no effect on companions or regular NPCs?

Heh, actually its kinda neat this way. I can reduce the number down all the way but make stalker chance and M>F values very high and watch the game turn into a rape orgy while leaving me relatively unharmed and free to go about the game. Thx Zippy for the clarifications. With this I can go and test out the sliders on my own now.

FNV actually does have a responsibility value in the GECK, it's just not used and so is probably not "correct" for most NPCs. The closest possible thing is the Karma value.

Increasing the sliders to 100% does nothing, as the tooltip says. If Ally is set to 100% then an Ally chosen as a stalker has a 100% chance of becoming a stalker, causing no change. It's only if it's set to a lower value that the chances are altered at all. Additionally, there are three total non-hostile faction relations: Neutral (same as having no faction relation at all), Ally, and Friend. The sliders don't affect Neutral faction NPCs which is generally how most NPCs are in relation to the Player. I'm actually not sure what NPCs are marked as Friend/Ally to the player but I'm guessing that your side in the final battle is probably Friend/Ally and possibly any groups you have a reasonably high reputation with.

As for the whole "rape orgy" thing, you could always just uncheck Stalk Player and/or Stalk Companions.

That would remove rapers targeting me completely, I dont want that, I just want to not be bothered so much but still make the rape values high so that random rapes still occur. I envisioned a "tough chick" mod addon for BR. Basically you would add a bunch of armor into a form list and then when the game is seeking a viable victim it would base the armor you are wearing and calculate the chance of getting raped depending on the armor rank. Wear something like Dragon skin armor and rapers are more likely to back off. But wear something sexy or loose and flimsy and everyone thinks you're fair game.

Or we need to get ShadowRunner in here and work on a BR version of his LoversRapers mod :D His version is amazing with all the tweakable options available.
