Rubin Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Hey guys noob here I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I start the app and then point it at a folder full of artwork (I'm not using it for porn, just trying to add aging effects to some artwork I downloaded) but for whatever reason the app doesn't see any of the files. I've tried pointing at different folders containing dozens of .jpg files but it always says 0 images in collection. fo4cwscreenshot.jpg Any ideas? Thanks! I think I found the fix for this. The tool was somehow skipping files with uppercase extensions. Created version 0.5: New version: - Fixed bug where uppercase files were sometimes ignored - Fixed bug where the preview would give a 'index out of range' error when a root folder was selected that held no files. Updated the build in the first post, can you see if that fixed the error? I think I am experiencing the same issue, which is strange because an image from the collection will show up in preview but none of the images seem to register as valid. 2016-08-06.png What happens when you click on 'automatic batch'? Program becomes not respoding. Preview option also made program not respoding. Most strange this is what at first run program found one .png image, but cant find it again.

When I click automatic batch, it says I haven't selected enough files and that I need to choose another directory. I made sure the format of the images were correct but it doesn't see any in the directory. Images in collection: 0
Reginald_001 Posted August 7, 2016 Author Posted August 7, 2016 Hey guys, this one is a bit strange, can you try/check a couple of things for me? 1) Check if the files inside the folder of images are not set to 'hidden' 2) Run Fo4WC.exe as administrator and try again (right click the exe then click on 'run as administrator') 3) How many files are in the folders? I see that it's stuck in that screenshot in the 'creating art' section, is that the text in status bar for all of you when this occurs?

Tried that, did not work. 3. Tried two different folders, one with 9 images and one with 56. Edit, FYI none of the files had uppercase letters in the extensions.

The minimum amount of images for the tool to work with a random pool is 200, 300 if you enable ZW mod output. Difficult question in terms of privacy. But the best thing for me to try is to see if I can reproduce this error. Would it be possible to rar the folder of images and send it via a PM or WeTransfer.com ? Then I can mount them on the same disk as you and see what I'm running into.

PM Sent, no worries about the privacy part. Understood that I'm using your tool differently than how you intended. Really all I'm looking for is an easy way to "age" paintings and some pinup artwork I collected from the interweb and output appropriately formatted .dds files. Also FWIW I just tested pointing it to a folder with over 900 images and I had the same exact result, your tool thinks there are zero files in the collection.
Reginald_001 Posted August 9, 2016 Author Posted August 9, 2016 Thanks. Ill take a good look as soon as i get home tonight.

I see the 'Standard Output' option is unchecked. Try to check it and re-enable export. But the export will fail as you need a minimum of 120 images (at least) as so many paintings exist in Fallout, but considering this was made for random pictures the tool will complain until it's found 200 images. I just ran an export with your 'art' and 'pinup' folders and it works, but then it fails because there are too little images. I will work on a version that basically logs every step to a file so I can debug this a bit more clearly, give me 1-2 days. 1-2 hours. [edit] That went quicker than expected. I've attached a test version for anyone experiencing the issue. There is an added option to export a log file. It will be exported into the same directory as the executable. For users that run into an issue, please attach (or PM) the export_log.txt file (as zip if it gets too large). And I'll proceed to analyse the output to see what went wrong (and more importantly where). Fo4CW0.6.rar
raitchison Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Already sent you the log via PM. Looks like we are narrowing down on the problem. Honestly I think your tool has tons of potential well beyond porn enthusiasts There is so little variety in the default in-game artwork, there are numerous mods on Nexus Mods to replace them but you still end up repeating the same pics over and over.

Yup, agreed. And will release a 'general' version when this is 100% stable. Looks like your 'bug' is not a bug but indeed the feature where it needs at least 200 images. Please note the 'images in collection' does not get filled until you press the 'automatic batch' button. Your work around is this: - Make sure you have at least 120 UNIQUE images (it gets deduplicated on MD5HASH level) - Click on 'automatic batch'. It will complain there's too little images, and will give you a directory browser. - Select the same target again, this will fill up the in-memory image array until there's 200 (or 300 depending on which output you chose) images. - Then it will continue the batch.
Reginald_001 Posted August 28, 2016 Author Posted August 28, 2016 I have now released the combined adult and regular version here: http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/3174-fallout-4-random-painting-generator/ You can follow all new developments on the tool from there.
Rubin Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Working just fine now for me. Still, there is some isues: 1) Image counter working lil bit incorrect (I have 230 images in my folder while programm says what there is only 43 of them). Auto batch still working. 2) Sometimes it uses same Image for different paintings 3) Wihout aging it could make some pictures to look more sharp and add some colors on figure's edges. Anyway, great programm!
