Reginald_001 Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 THIS IS Fo4WC 0.7 THIS VERSION IS NOW OBSOLETE! THE LATEST BUILD (WITH NEW FEATURES) CAN BE FOUND HERE: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/66327-fallout-4-random-painting-generator/ This build now has all the 'ai' routines for optimised adult imagery input combined with regular artwork, and can be found in the regular Fallout 4 downloads sections for models & textures. All who have tested and helped to make this succesful, thanks!!!! Latest release (0.7) notes: - Added option to fit all images to canvas - Fixed some minor bugs, now super stable! (If you use it correctly). Old topic follows below. ------------------------- Do you want to have random pornography on the paintings in game? Do you want those Paintings to be based on your own collection, different each time you run the game, or whenever you feel like it? Do you want the paintings to be lore friendly if you want to, or look brand spanking new if you're in the mood? Do you want to be able to fill paintings of the Commonwealth with your own vile pornography? (Which is what this tool was written for, which is why I'm posting it HERE.... and not THERE. And trust me there's a difference in creating DDS for pornography vs. regular photography. I might create a 'regular art work version' at a later time!). If the answer to all of those questions is yes then look no further! For I have created the first stable build of FO4WC, which was my way of creating the means to have different RANDOM (porn) paintings each time I run Fallout 4. Which produces output such as this, in game (just imagine it's your own images): But I had some conditions while making it!- It should NOT be a Fallout 4 mod, I wanted no dependancies on mod breaking updates from Bathesda as I will not support this tool for long; it should be stable and it does what it's designed to do.- It should be LORE FRIENDLY when I want to and I should have a lot of tweaking options for both source image selection and the way the end result looked.- I wanted paintings to be able to look aged, worn, have contrast added (or faded) etc..etc.. or brand-new.- It should be RANDOM so I could be surprised each time I play through Fallout 4, this tool is NOT created for making your own libraries and them uploading them as 'your mod'. For that reason limited sequential adding options were created. When looking at all of this, I decided on creating a stand alone application called FO4WC. It uses NvidiaTexture Tools at it's core to convert created art into DDS files. This is a first (SORT OF STABLE) alpha build and I request you guys and gals to give this thing a spin! IMPORTANT: The preview screen is just an indication of the created source image that gets sent to the DXT converter. This means that it doesn't show any changes you made in contrast, nor does it show the compression! The best way to check the output is to run the game, or use an image program like GIMP to open up the created DDS files. What you can do with F04WC (Features)- The tool automatically creates all the files in the right place. Run the tool, run the game, nothing else (unless you want to).- Create single image paintings, based on a text file list of images, or a set of selected folders, with a minimum of 300 images so it can draw from the image pool.- Create double images if horizontal aspect images cannot be found using a smart (yeah right) algorhythm to find images within the same series of images where possible (this works especially well with porn series, as you get 'twins' of sets that make the ratio work a lot better and look like they belong together).- I've implemented very RUDIMENTARY AI into the program. If you enable 'Search for source pictures with Aspect Ratio of target' the application will try to find images best suited to the output dimensions of the paintings as they are used in Fallout 4.You have a lot of output options:- Different cropping methods - DXT1 or DXT3 compression (other methods are completely daft if you know how DTX works) This was completely daft. Sticking with DXT1- Adjust image contrast (from 0.5 to 1.5)- Filter source images to only pick large images- Add many different image folders, then only pick 'x' random pictures per folder for a natural division of images in the eventual output.- Sequentially read files during the batch (Ascending or Descending)- Add aging options No aging / Light aging / Extra aging- Add a canvas (or not)- Add lines around the images on the canvas itself (or not)- Export to small (512x256) or large paintings (1024x1024 / 2048 / 4096). - Choose any arbitrary output folder (then rename files for your own custom galleries) Combinations of settings above led me to hours of tweaking and fiddling, so my guess is that you'll have fun with this! Output in action (A pristine look was chosen, so no aging was done on the first image, aging was added to the second two images, using the option in the tool) REQUIREMENTS: - .NET 4.0 Framework (most PC's have it these days) - Windows Vista, 7,8,10. Perhaps it'll run on WINE, not sure. - It's a standalone executable and should 'just work'. If it doesn't, well it's in alpha for a reason. - NvDxt.exe was included in this release. I'm not sure about it's dependancies. I hope someone can let me know if it works standalone, otherwise I'll need to add the Nvidia DXT tools as a pre-requisite. (Luckilly it's a very small download with 30mb). Confirmed to have no dependancies, runs fine. THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR! - Exporting to DXT3 doesn't do anything but increase the exported file size by 2. Yes.. TECHNICALLY there's a difference, but I've never, ever, seen a difference in quality when I was testing the tool. - The Image Quality is very FINNICKY and works like this: For PORN / REGULAR PICTURES choose 'Normal quality'. This is best optimised for such input. For HENTAI / DRAWINGS (e.g. real paintings) choose Production or Higher quality. The reason for this is that the compressor of NVidia likes to add a lot of noise in higher quality images, making especially pornography look weird and painted in DDS form, this is also because of the way that DXT compression works, but that's a whole different discussion. In any case, just remember the rules as stated above, or experiment for yourself on what you find is the best setting for you. Tips for tool usage: - Download some vintage porno mags, they look great and absolutely lore friendly. - BDSM seems to come out well, nearly always, this is usually because it's shot against darker backgrounds. - Darker backgrounds work very well with the tool - Try to mix your source folders 50/50 between landscape and portrait images, it makes the tool's rudimentary ai feel nice and secure, and warm and fuzzy inside. - If all the images are landscape (as it would be if you chose your 'wallpapers' folder) then TURN OFF the 'search for source pictures with aspect ratio of target' option. Because the tool will be searching long and hard for something that doesn't exist. - Don't play with the contrast option unless you are dealing with Hentai. Since the lighting of many pictures is often different when using pornography, some images will look nice, but others might become too dark, or too washed out. Use contrast only if you see that a particular image series needs it. - The four options at the top right can work confusing: - Recursive Means that during the batch, each folder shown will be recursively read. (So adding folders to the list itself by pressing 'add' will NOT add folders recursively, but all images in the folders and their subfolders are read when this option is enabled). Turn this option off, if your images folder has subfolders with images that you don't want to add to your paintings in Fallout 4. - Limit images per folder Means that for each folder listed only a maximum of that number of images will be read for random selection. - Limit Total Batch Images Means to limit the total number of images that are read during the batch - Sequential read during batch Means that the images in the folders will be read in a sequential manner, instead of randomly. This is ALPHA. I hope some of you guys will like and test this for me. After debugging it I will throw it onto the downloads area as download! If you run into a bug please do the following: - Open up the stack trace and copy/paste it in a post, together with what you were doing. I might ask follow up questions such as 'where did you download that great porn collection' or 'how many files were in the source directory', I might even ask something serious, such as 'what the hell dude, horses??? Really??'. Disclaimer: NOTHING beats manually creating galleries and tweaking each image by hand. If you are a quality freak then this is not the tool for you, go away, and certainly don't complain to me about image quality. If you do, you will be laughed at and ridiculed. If you love versatility in your games like I do, then this is the exact right tool for you. Version: 0.2a (obsolete) - Fixed some minor bugs after test input, and testing the tool myself on a virtual machine (win 7). - Now confirmed to run on x86, x64 Win Vista and Win 7. Version: 0.3a (obsolete) - Added output resolutions: 2048, 4096 - Added option to disable smartsearch for matching aspects - Important nvdxt.exe in combination with DXT1 does not seem to support resolutions above 1024px. If you choose higher output sizes, switch to DXT3 for now. Still working on this one, not sure if it's the tool or NvDxt not willing to accept the parameters. Version: 0.4 (obsolete) - Added 'my.settings' for all options, everything is now remembered between sessions, including selected folders - Tweaked canvas drawing - Tweaked Shadow lines drawing - Took out all DXT options, atfer extensive testing DXT1 is perfect under all conditions - Redesigned certain sections of the interface for a more logical workflow - Tweaked the 'Find partner for image' option to allow for lenient or strict matching - Added the option to 'remember folders' - Tweaked the filtering of images to check for the highest dimension (either width or height) first, then it cheks if that adheres to the minimum setting - Added many resolutions for filtering images - Tweaked Smart Search - Compiled to 'AnyCPU' - Added JPE, BMP and PNG extension for source files Current version: 0.5 - Fixed bug where uppercase files were sometimes ignored - Fixed bug where the preview would give a 'index out of range' error when a root folder was selected that held no files.
alucrad90 Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Seems that your program can't find the file. A bmp file has been built in the output directory
Reginald_001 Posted July 25, 2016 Author Posted July 25, 2016 error.JPG Seems that your program can't find the file. A bmp file has been built in the output directory Thanks for testing! You have two options: - Enable the checkbox before 'standard output' button and try again. or: - Download the latest version I have just attached which now gives a warning if no output was selected (e.g. the checkbox was disabled). Also, make sure there is a file called 'nvdxt.exe' in the directory of the application (it should come with if you extract the entire rar).
Reginald_001 Posted July 25, 2016 Author Posted July 25, 2016 Got confirmation via PM that nvdxt.exe works without dependancies, so yay.

Gotcha, seems I had not enable the crop line And it work with Japanese directory quite well I thought the DXT3 format is useless because the game acturally use DXT1 for opaque paper and DXT5 for translucent pictures In Addition can you add a example for the "txt file" you mentioned? And I find that every time I open the probrame it lose the image directory I can't wait to made a poster mod
Reginald_001 Posted July 26, 2016 Author Posted July 26, 2016 That's great, thanks for testing! Hopefully the 'general public' will pick this up soon. I'm sure many people would be interested in this, looking at the popularity of porno painting mods.
aloevera5 Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 This tool is brilliant. I wish it could handle the larger pics as well, 2048x1024, 2048x2048, etc. It handles the other files very well. Selecting a folder does have one odd bug. It says it is finished, but the main page says it still is running. You can just click ok and continue on but it says it is still making art. I had started translating fav pics myself one by one, you just blew me away One thought I had this mod does not really have to be porn. Any image can be loaded in, dog pics, cat pics, family photos whatever. This tool could be extended to be very general purpose. You could put it on the site not to be named and get a lot more community use. Or just leave it here but under the general category since I know the admin for the other site is less than popular. This mod really isnt adult since its a image framework.

This mod really isnt adult since its a image framework. Ok, I will add the option for any arbitrary output size soon! The 'AI' I created actually has some specific stuff for pornography in it. I'll explain. Most erotic imagery is a mix of 30/70 portrait (70%) and landscape (30%) artwork. But when you look at most 'regular' artwork, this is mostly landscape ratio (e.g. wallpapers). The game's artwork works best with landscape orientated pictures for generic paintings (512x256) and portrait (actually square) for 'portrait' paintings (512x512, e.g. the cabbbot pre-war paintings). So I created the AI to search for specific pictures that will fit the portrait ratio (e.g. width = bigger than height) for landscape oriented paintings and use a portrait ratio for portrait paintings. I started work on it as a 'general' tool, but quickly found out that normal artwork needs a completely different approach than erotic imagery does, and adding a 'porno' option to the regular tool didn't seem right either. I wanted to test it rigorously, so I downloaded around a thousand pornography images from a tgp (using an automated tool) and also over 10.000 walpapers in a torrent, and dumped them into folders for testing. During my tests, I quickly found out that the AI was grinding the porno folder, looking for portrait images where there were none, and vice-versa on my 'wallpapers' folder. My first fix for this was to crop the image (zoom in). But that looked daft, so I decided to display two portrait images in one painting if no correct landscape images was found. I then decided to specialise the tool and created an elaborate algorhythm to find images in similar series, as such series tend to be named in a similar fashion. I will create a different, more generalised version that has a different AI, which focusses more on 'regular' artwork, which requires a different search algorhythm and approach for creating artwork. But maybey I'm just being finnicky, always a possibility.

(e.g. the height is higher than the width) It's smart in that it already does that. So the logic is (roughly) like this: - If it's a square target image (e.g. the paintings of the cabbot house called 'portrait') then it will search for images with higher heights than widths. - If it's a landscape target image (e.g. paintingsgeneric01) then it will search for images with higher widths than heights. Like this, you can see the canvas that my tool draw left and right of this portrait ratio image, of a girl with tied breasts...mmm.. ymmy. If you enable the option, of course. If you disable it, it will just fetch a random image and not look for any type of image ratio at all, and if it's a portrait ratio picture, it will find another one with almost the same height and add it to it, so the painting is filled, like this: Then, finally, Bathesda does all sort of cropping in some of their canvas models. Also inside their levels, they sometimes screwed up the resolution of images, because they were placed in dark areas. When you shine your light on them, the pictures look very pixelated. This is due to how they placed the image in the map somehow, it's repeatable so it's something with the game and also happens with the original textures.
Reginald_001 Posted July 26, 2016 Author Posted July 26, 2016 Uploaded v 0.3a: - Added output resolutions: 2048, 4096 (important if you choose res > 1024 switch to DXT3 otherwise you will not get output! (Working on that one) - Added option to disable smartsearch for matching aspects
aloevera5 Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Wow that was fast! I had no issues with the new version, thanks, I like the new resolutions. I had no idea that pron would be so different. I will have to add some normal photos and see how it does.

I had no idea that pron would be so different. I will have to add some normal photos and see how it does. It should do quite fine. But you'll notice that when everything's 1 aspect ratio (e.g. with wallpapers) then the tool might slow down a lot, while it's searching for matching images.
Reginald_001 Posted July 29, 2016 Author Posted July 29, 2016 It looks like the current build is quite stable, not having received any more feedback on it here or on other channels. I have worked on a new version which can handle all kinds of material, it includes all the advancements that should make it work well for pornography as well. It'll be our little secret that this code is in there. If I hear no more bugs before end of the weekend, I'll upload it properly as a v1.0, and will release it as 'regular' version.
Reginald_001 Posted August 2, 2016 Author Posted August 2, 2016 Received last minute suggestions for improvements and have created a new build attached to the first post. LeFlemard Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Would be nice when f4se team expand their scripts that it would ask at launch if you want to launch your program... or choose at random a pack premade with this (a tad like randomized main screen like it exist for skyrim)
Reginald_001 Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 Would be nice when f4se team expand their scripts that it would ask at launch if you want to launch your program... or choose at random a pack premade with this (a tad like randomized main screen like it exist for skyrim) Yes, and no. The whole idea of this tool was to create an interface that would offer a GUI for automating NvDxt.exe (a commandline parameter). If you would add it to F4SE you might as well skip the GUI and automate that instead. The tool's basically just automating the naming part for the DDS's. But what I could do is add a launcher option and add 'sets'. It's basically just a renaming of a directory (and adding sets). I'll do some exploration on this feature to see if it actually adds anything to the experience.
aloevera5 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 This shoud be moved to the download page more people will notice it there I bet.

LionsFate Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I love the tool so far. I have a question on making it expandable for other textures/mods? I see it supports one other mod right now, but thought about a JSON-format type expansion to support others. Any format really works, just used to JSON. Something like - { "Fallout4.esm": [ { "Size": "1024x512", "File": "textures\setdressing\PaintingsGeneric\PaintingAbstract01" }, ... { "Size": "1024x1024", "File": "textures\setdressing\PaintingsGeneric\PaintingPortraits06" } ], "ZerasPaintings.esp": [ { "Size": "1024x1024", "File": "textures\ZW_Paintings\ZW_PaintingsPortrait01" } ], "MyPaintings.esp": [ { "Size": "1024x512", "File": "textures\MyPaintings\MyPortrait01" } ] } This way it can see in the Data folder that the "Fallout4.esm" exists and knows what files to modify, and others such as "MyPaintings.esp" and "ZerasPaintings.esp" it can easily support as well?
raitchison Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Hey guys noob here I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I start the app and then point it at a folder full of artwork (I'm not using it for porn, just trying to add aging effects to some artwork I downloaded) but for whatever reason the app doesn't see any of the files. I've tried pointing at different folders containing dozens of .jpg files but it always says 0 images in collection. Any ideas? Thanks!

I won't go that route, but my next idea was to add a configuration option so you can add output for yourself (e.g. custom out). Not sure how much (more) time I will put into the tool though, now that it's stable and all. We'll see what happens this weekend, though I agree it's not really 'finished' as long as you can't add future (custom) mods and output.

I think I am experiencing the same issue, which is strange because an image from the collection will show up in preview but none of the images seem to register as valid.
Reginald_001 Posted August 6, 2016 Author Posted August 6, 2016 Hey guys noob here I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I start the app and then point it at a folder full of artwork (I'm not using it for porn, just trying to add aging effects to some artwork I downloaded) but for whatever reason the app doesn't see any of the files. I've tried pointing at different folders containing dozens of .jpg files but it always says 0 images in collection. fo4cwscreenshot.jpg Any ideas? Thanks! I think I found the fix for this. The tool was somehow skipping files with uppercase extensions.
