Why does oblivion crashes on quit?

Hello guys, I have installed Oblivion again recently and the game keeps crashing at quit. As a result cant save the settings I changed. I have also tried to fix it with fast exit 2 mod. Is there any other fixes thats known to you guys?

Oblivion Stutter Remover, use the fast exit option in there. I barely ever get a crash on exit, unless I exit while in certain menus.

OSR is an OBES plugin. In the OBSE plugin folder, there will be sr_Oblivion_Stutter_Remover.ini

 

in the very first section, make sure this line reads like this bFastExit = 1

enabled it but still it sometimes crashes

You could also edit your settings into your oblivion.ini and save, so the game should recognize them.

I did have the same problem when I installed Oblivion on WIn10, but Fast Exit 2 solved it for me.

I do have the same issue, but I'm not sure I care enough to try to fix it. Is there anything bad that can happen because of it?

It doesn't save the settings if you changed it, I believe there is a console command to manually write to the ini.

It's funny but the crash is caused by the UOP, Stutter Remover is the way to go.

But it should save your settings now, or not?

I don't think there's much you can do about the crashes on exit, especially with a highly modded game. That happens to me too, even though I'm using Fast Exit. The only thing FE did for me, was to save my settings so I didn't have to make them over and over again.

Something is wron in your games.

Before I used fast exit I had often crashes.

Since I use fast Exit2 never had a crash on exit ( since 2009 no crash ! )

I had a game with 240 esp/esm and no crash.

Now my game with about 200 esp/esm also no crash.

 

All my esp and esm are cleaned. But also before I cleaned all I had no crash on exit.

 

You must have a very dirty Mod ( esp or esm) or some wrong settings in one of the tools (ENB, OSR, ...)

 

Try Fast Exit2. i still use it. ( not the fast exit OSR setting )
