Guest Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 In the Skyrim Remastered Clip they panned the camera over mods that people here should recognize the intent is clear. They would have done what they could to make sure that as much of the PC content can and will be direct ported to the new system. So with that in mind can we get a discussion going on "how to drm a mod please". Yeah, we may do that. Or just do mods in "Creative Commons" mode. But be sure only mods that do not add extra external code may (may) be supported.

Well there's an idea so can we get a workshop class on going about adding external code or SKSE dependency for mods that don't even need it?
Guest Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Well there's an idea so can we get a workshop class on going about adding external code or SKSE dependency for mods that don't even need it? No. But some mods (also really good) are just adding armors, NPCs, areas, maybe some quests. Some other mods are changing the game play. And often the do it with external code. P.S. My actual point of view: * You can do it with CK, it works on consoles * You CANNOT do it with CK? No consoles...
Guest endgameaddiction Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 I guess the only remaster I would be interested is a Fallout 3. With ENB it looks far superior than New Vegas. And the only reason why I would even consider wanting it is for slightly better graphics of course, but I would like to see potato face gone and something more along the lines of what Skyrim did minus the -0 and _1 body jibberish. But with Fallout 4 milking out DLCs and who knows how many more crapons to come for it, doubt it.
DoctaSax Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 I like that FO4 Shelter's coming to PC. Also the build-your-own-Vault DLC for FO4 seems to want to incorporate that in the game, something about conducting experiments on the people there, which could be swell. Prey looks good. Skyrim remaster: as long as it doesn't fuck up my LO, I'm good with it. I don't see why they bother, really, but ok. Dishonored 2... makes me wanna fish 1 back up - I abandoned it midway through & I keep planning on finishing it. Quake revamped - well, whatever, not my scene.

Leito86 Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Skyrim HD looks legit. I won't have to keep up with enbs, ini files or those other beautifying mods. Prey isn't quite what I expected. I prefer the intergalactic bounty hunter idea. FO4 VR on Vive? I may have to grab one.
Vykroft Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Skyrim Remastered PS4/XBOX = No Sex mod... = forgetaboutit....
Guest Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 We just got information that if you own Skyrim (+DLC) on Steam, you will get a free upgrade to the remastered version of Skyrim. Source: https://twitter.com/BethesdaStudios/status/742194847101095936
Swiggity1234 Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Skyrim HD looks legit. I won't have to keep up with enbs or those other beautifying mods. It did add some effects, but I personally didn't really like them. As a PC player with a decent PC, ENBs look sooooo much better. About other stuff, Prey looked like it could be a fun game, FPShooters - I don't really care. VR - I am a student, I can't afford that, PC was expensive enough Dishonored 2 - Could be really really good, have to complete the first one though. No Elder Scrolls VI Just more about the god damn card game I don't give a shit about. Sad that it didn't have a 'bomb' at the end like they had with Fallout 4. But I guess you can't have that every year.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind a Fallout 1 or 2 remaster myself now that I think about it. But even so, I think what will happen to those games is more cash grab addons to it.
Leito86 Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 We just got information that if you own Skyrim (+DLC) on Steam, you will get a free upgrade to the remastered version of Skyrim. Source: https://twitter.com/BethesdaStudios/status/742194847101095936 Wow, that's unexpected and completely awesome.
Arhon Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 The 2 workshop DLC for Fallout 4 seems very fun. And Nuka world looks interesting. Question: what mods have become obselete with the new Edition of Skyrim?

Princessity Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Can we just have a complete Morrowind remake please? The best TES game of all time on a modern engine and less clunky gameplay would be just perfect! I'm not impressed with the Skyrim remaster but I suppose it is really like 99% aimed at console players. We won't see TES 6 for at least a few years, but at least we can make Skyrim pretty and entertaining on the PC in the meantime. It's nice that console people will finally be able to do that too. Well... kinda. I doubt there's going to be SKSE, FNIS, customisable ENB and other advanced modders resources on consoles so the mods over there will be limited, but it's still something. The Dishonoured thing looks so dope thoooo! I've never been interested in the original but I suddenly want to pick it up! I think I will the next time I take a break from my Overwatch obsession.

Guest endgameaddiction Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 It better be offered for free. Just because of that doesn't mean they get any kudos. And I'm going to be keeping an eye on who wants to vouch for the next FNIS... *yawn*

And I'm going to be keeping an eye on who wants to vouch for the next FNIS... *yawn* My forecast? No need for FNIS, like FO4. But still everything completely undocumented, and different from TESV5. (But probably the same of FO4.) It's a pretty smart PR move given they are going to need PC users to continue creating content for Beth.net. Agreed. I posted it already today but I forgot the thread... Basic content: works on console right away. Advanced content; no way to put it on consoles. (And difficult to put on PCs.)
Guest Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 The 2 workshop DLC for Fallout 4 seems very fun. And Nuka world looks interesting. Question: what mods have become obselete with the new Edition of Skyrim? i cant see any more base building. cant even make them nice since the engine bugs compleetly out if you try do build full houses with interiors for 30 settlers + 10 cats and 10 dogs.^^ and to be honest i wish beth would focus on more complex dlcs like far harbor, i mean seriosly thats stuff that would have been made by moders if it not allready have been made... if not for the workshop dlcs we could have gotten a 3rd intresting dlc.
Kimy Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 For a second I hoped they'd bring Skyrim HD to Mac/Linux. But Bethesda would rather make a port for smartwatches, I guess.

Well its not a Bethesda game if it doesnt have bugs Besides from what i saw Nuka World seems as big as Far harbor if not a little bigger, but right now we can only speculate.
