That's important! I feel pretty weird otherwise. Any MMORPG that has "buy this stuff in game constantly!" should never be mentioned. Yuck! I've heard of the Mass Effect series (who hasn't?), but never tried it and I'm told you play scripted characters too. I'm just tired of the same old games I've been playing. Not into any first person games, or "play as a scripted character only". Even though I sorta liked Dreamfall.. >_> Just because of the futuristic sci-fi stuff. And Watch Dogs! It would've been so much better with free character creation. Same thing with Witcher 3, but I LOVED it. (Tomb Raider ones of course too) Anyway, your suggestions?
the_mess Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Saints Row 1,2,3 have free character creation. I especially like first two games. After them, the series went down the toilet tbh. The third one is kinda decent but the second is the best. In Mass Effect the only thing you can customize is your face simply because you are wearing pre defined armors/clothes. The customization is not exactly spectacular, its fairly limited actually. GTA V Online has great character creator with lots of options and also decent amount of clothes and accessories to buy (with in game money).

Darth_Falcon Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 I would second Mount & Blade, but you may want to pick up a mod because the base character models are kinda... well, bad. Are you looking for a specific genre/gameplay style or just a good 3rd person game with in-depth customization?

GodSmack Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Champions online - not really Third person, but is character creation is one of the bests ever, game is meh tho if you are a free player ESO - basically everyone is prettier than in skyrim, its a pretty big game full of hours of gameplay after you buy it, DLCs and cosmetics cost money tho PSO2 - its tricky to get this to work, but if you liked phanasy star or monster huner it might be worth cheking out Blade and soul - basically boobies and furry loli/shotas Skyforge - basically everything is available to get, you just gotta work your ass off for it, money is for shortcuts Defiance - its a shooter game free roam and junk, basically borderlands, dunno why i stopped playing this

Yuck!" they didnt say they didnt want an MMO they didnt want cash shop sinker games that being said the only one i mentioned that could be crossed out is probably ESO because B2P practices, everything else, if you put time and effort into it can get you some cool stuff for free
bjornk Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Well, most MMOs are either B2P or P2W, sometimes both, right? If we are allowed to recommend MMOs then I'd say "Black Desert". It's B2P and has the best character creator in a game.

It's B2P and has the best character creator in a game. true, thats why i posted dungeon crawlers or mainly PvE co-op, where the cash shop is nothing but a "who can pimp their character out the most" thing Black desert is great too, forgot about that one

He/She? Seriously? My username's Lizzy. But I don't like MMO's at all. The communities also. Yuck SecondLife (2014) and Tibia (<-I was very little). I just.. don't want anything to do with characters that have people behind them. Since nobody else has asked yet, do you ONLY want PC games or would console games be ok? Only PC games! I don't own any consoles. Well, a defunct hasn't been used in years Xbox 360 and an old broken PS2. But yeah.. Anyway, Dragon Age Inquisition has been pretty sweet
GodSmack Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 ah, well there is dragon ball Xenoverse if your into DBZ games, make your own sayian/human/namek/majin it basically a dungeon crawler where you can choose to either go it solo or with a group if you have internet connection. no one can trash talk or say dumb stuff cuz its premade messages chat only. Xenoverse 2 is coming out soon and i heard it will have better features and be connected to the first one in someway Way of the samurai 4, dont know much about but the screenshots are pretty out there in terms of customization then there is dragons dogma the saints row series, idc what anyone says 3 and 4 are awesome. thats about all i can remember, that dont deal with real people unless you really want too
