mashed up armor not showing up in-game ?

Hey guys,

Just a lil question about an armor I'm trying to make.

I've been looking at recent mods and one that will help me to create a gladiator-like outfit would be the Bikini mods by nisetanaka (for example http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72344/?).

So I thought it would be like in Fallout 4, just mix your stuff and get going. However for some reason the shoulder parts and the harness from the bikini mods don't appear in-game. They do appear in nifskope and Outfit Studio, I tried both to mix the armor parts but both didn't worked.

Google basically told me "nope", couldn't find anything about that kind of issue unfortunatly... :(

Any idea what could be the cause of this ? The only part that can show up are the bras themselves, other than that, nothing.

Uuuum, I am not a modder. AND not an animator, modeller, etc. etc. Whole bunch I ain't.

BUT: I THINK: If mixing some stuff into one does NOT work, why not copy the base (as in "an outfit file") and then just make a bunch of those?

You change mesh of file A into part A of outfit, make it "Body" section, then change mesh of file B into addition B (some hidden slot working for Shoulder for example) and then just make it a bunch of files: a bunch of "armor" items?? Well, "game"wise it would also have the benefits of being "more" - more items to smith-harden / enchant.

Just an idea.....

Do they appear in the CK as well? If not it could be a mesh or rigging problem could also be a slot problem. Load each of the nifs up into nifskope click a piece that isn't appearing and go to BSDismemberSkinInstance below the highlighted line and click the arrow to get the drop down then partition x2 to get the drop downs then look at what slots are selected in the nif for it and look at the armor and armor addon and make sure the slots also match the ones in the nif.

I checked the slots under Nifskope and edited them to SBP_32_BODY and...Well, that did the trick XD

Who knew it was that simple lol, thank you :)

Your welcome.

Yeah when you transfer pieces to a different nif if you used the copy branch paste branch in nifskope they will retain whatever slots were selected in the other nif so slots would have to be updated in both nifs and for the armor addon and armor listed for them in the CK.

You can also convert the BSDismemberSkinInstance to NiSkinInstance which doesn't uses any slots in the nifs and will instead use the slots selected for the pieces in the CK.

I mix stuff all the time in outfit studio and have seen this. First off don't check the box in bodyslide for RaceMenu Morphs. This screws everything up and could crash the game if you're moving pieces from one set to another.

So, if you move a bikini or guard or something you need to right click on the piece and hit build skin partitions. Now, it could work or not if you don't but it does work 100% of the time - that I've seen - when this is done.
