Female NPCs disappear and reappear in Blue Palace and Bard's College

So I have this bug where females (npcs and my character) will blink invisible for a moment and then reappear, like a slow flicker, when I'm in the Blue Palace and the Bard's College. It doesn't affect all the npcs in those two locations, only if they're female and standing in certain locations like near the enchanting table in Sybille Stentor's room.

 

They're still there while invisible and it doesn't interrupt animations or conversations, they just go completely invisible for a brief moment and then reappear. I feel like it's lighting related but I don't know enough to fix it. I'm running enb for the memory support only. I tried running realistic lighting overhaul to see if changing the lighting would fix it - no luck. I've uninstalled and reinstalled cbbe, but it still happens. It's not the same as the havoc thing where the boobs stretch out and the npc becomes invisible which can be fixed by the disable/enable console command. Enable/disable and recycleactor on the character doesn't fix it.

 

I don't have any mods that change those two interior cells, and I'm running the latest drivers for my gpu, although I did try rolling back to an older driver.

 

I'm not sure what else to do.

I had this same problem but in other places in Skyrim in both interior and exterior cells.  The culprit for me was the mod Invasion of Skyrim.  NPCs would go from being invisible to visible during battles and conversations, which I dont believe is an intended feature.  Once I uninstalled it, everything worked fine again. 

 

If you dont have this installed, other mods that dont necessarily change interior cells can affect gameplay in the same way.  Best thing to do is to back out the last mods loaded until the problem stops.

I've noticed this behaviour as well, but I suspect on a hunch that it's animation related rather than lighting. If I figure something out, I'll post it here.

So after running around the blue palace to try and figure out what triggers the flicker, it seems to be when a female pc or npc starts an animation while under one of the bright white beams of light coming from the windows in the blue palace or the bard's college. Still don't have a clue how to fix it, but maybe someone else has an idea?

It does not have to be a mod it can be malfunctionaing of hdt as well if you are running that.

yeah sounds like HDT "invisibilty" to me. the female stretches out and will disappear. she's still there, u just can't see. when this happens move around u and see if u can see their name pop up. usually going in/out of a load door, exterior/interior will fix. or u can use console disable, then without exiting out of console, use enable. they should reappear

It's not hdt invisibility; I'm pretty sure it's the mod "dripping when aroused". When i uninstalled that mod to make a clean save while upgrading to the latest version, i noticed that the invisibility thing didn't happen, but after installing the latest version when the female actors get aroused and drip it started happening again.

 

Oh well, seeing as it only happens in the bard's college and the blue palace and i like the dripping when aroused immersion, i think i'll just have to live with it.

I've definitely experienced that with certain HDT clothing/armors, usually certain apparel or accessories that I've given to followers.
