How do you convert the characters from

image.jpg

to this

image.jpg

I am running into the same issue again likethe previous Camera unlock mod until I found the version with the gibberish instead of the Chinese characters from steam.

My system slows down when I install the one with the correct Chinese character.

Tried running the game in JP/Chinese locale as administrator but it still slows down the game.

So is there a way to turn the characters into the second image I post?

Could it be just a coincidence? Afaik, this is just a matter of having the language pack and fonts installed or not, and notepad reading the file with the correct encoding.

I'm not an expert, though.

Try using notepad++ and change encoding setting to another language (Character Sets -> Japan -> Shift-JIS for example).

What is new in the .50 version?

Sorry, I'm gonna add some kind of update log to the OP later today.

But basically, the only new addition is that now you can use H and HL files. Which is awesome, btw.

Awesome tool! However, when using the final version, it seems to cancel out SweetFx. Is it not possible to keep it while using Autolink?

I'm guessing you're also installing the d3d9.dll file (the one that removes all character icons from the select screen when selecting your costume) too? Before you copy that, rename the file in the directory to "d3d9ex.dll". That will let you use the mod while keeping your SweetFX settings.

Also, want to give a shoutout to Ms. Toy for this helpful tutorial. Just started using Autolink and it's an absolute marvel. This might become my main method of installing costume mods, since recently certain mods have become unusable online, for whatever reason.

"Ms. Toy" is a new moniker for me. I... kinda like it!

But come on. You don't need to call me ms. We're past that.  ;)

Yeah, I'm gonna keep calling you Ms.

You can blame my incredibly strict upbringing :P

Alright, I'll give that a try. Much appreciated! =)

great tool, can't believe something so simple to use works so well,  it's even easier than using the DLC tool (and that was like falling off a log)

1 minor question tho, any way to disable the ui mod part of it?, I prefer the icons to stay when selecting costume (and actually have the costume number displayed too) rest of it I like, just not that part

Deleting the "d3d9.dll" file should do the trick, but doing that will also disable the camera hack.

Well, I'm in an airplane right now, so I have no actual way of testing it. And as I've said before, the Android version of the game doesn't work very well. Because it doesn't exist. But, from memory, I think you can just use the original d3d9.dll that came with the game (you have a backup, right?)

I may be wrong though. Unfortunately can't test it for you. But try that. It'll probably work.

Well, as 跌倒的貓 is sharing all his 3 noncostume mods in 1 pack, it may cause some doubts.

Removing d3d9.dll will do without affecting the camera mod, but will disable SweefFX/ReShade.

There's also a small chance to crash the game.

Ishida, you're right, I was confused with the other dll. Deleting "DInput8.dll" will disable the camera hack, and it will also disable autolink of course. But in case of not having sweetFX installed, removing d3d9.dll will not cause any harm (I've tried it and no problems so far).

thanks for the answers, I'll try removing d3d9.dll, (yes I did back things up :)) I thought the different files might handle different parts but wasn't sure which did what.

I love autolink, just never been a fan of bundles, I would have been fine to live with it if you had all told me it was all part of same package and nothing could be done about it, but there  was no harm in asking and I also seem to have inadvertently created a small discussion on the matter in the process :)

There's a new AutoLink release!

But I haven't had the chance to test it yet, and I'm having trouble understanding the translated Chinese text from the original post. So I'm not really sure what the differences are. (Something to do with hair?!)

Still. New AutoLink! Follow the link in the OP and you'll find it. (v.1.01).

I'll update it ASAP

AutoLink 1.01 support expand hair

you can rename hair  name to @xxxxxxxxxxxxx.HAIR.TMC

EX:

AutoLink\KASUMI\@AAAAAA.HAIR.TMC

AutoLink\KASUMI\@AAAAAA.HAIR.TMCL

Im having issues getting the game to boot, my game is 1.06 from steam (no other mods), and I have 1.01 ver AutoLink.  The game wont boot with the 4 Autolink files in the main game folder.  Just a black screen that requires the task manager to close it out after becoming unresponsive.  TastefulToy has suggested I post here to see if there is anyone else having this issue, or has an idea how to fix it.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
