Surprised to see something like this on Steam, but here you go, available on April 4th...

 

 

About This Game

Courtesy Warning: The sexual themes in this game are mostly for fun/humor and don't make for particularly great fapping material.

 

In HunieCam Studio players take control of a sleazy cam girl operation. Rake in stacks of filthy internet money and attract as many disgusting fans as you can in this fast paced, click happy and thoroughly perverted take on the business tycoon / management sim genre!

 

Recruit cam models from an eclectic cast of cuties who have probably made some poor life choices. Manage your girls' daily errands/activities to keep them stress-free and productive. Invest in various aspects of your business to improve functions and expand operations. Optimize your cam shows by promoting girls who match popular trends/fetishes. Abandon your morals and disappoint everybody who cares about you!

 

  • Up to 18 unique cam girls covering a wide variety of perverse preferences!
  • Send your models to the strip club to increase their talent, the photo studio for more exposure, the day spa to relax a bit, etc...
  • Analyze important stats on your fans and performers to maximize revenue!

Wasn't the Steam version of Huniepop censored though? Anyway if people have a choice they should buy it directly because otherwise Valve takes a 30% cut.

 

Correct. But in the discussion section on steam the devs gave you a link/patch to play the uncensored version. And i agree. lol

Huniecam looks like a quick cashgrab

 

Everyone hated the new art style, heart pupils 24/7 this is not how it works and chibi/childish character looks.

 

I can't take it seriously it feels of.

 

I would disagree with it being a cash grab, given how much of success Huniepop was (and rightly so, I found it hilarious) simply making Humiepop 2 with the same art style same gameplay etc would have been in my eyes more of a cash grab, ie here is something people like, let's milk it for all it's worth.

 

Regardless if Huniecam turns out to be a good game or not, I for one can, at least, respect them for trying something different.

 

On a side note, a lot of the very vocal critic of the new art-style pretty much boils down to, this is not the anime/hentai others make, so it sucks. And no true Scotsman would ever argue against that level of logic.

I think this game will do okay considering it has most of the success from HuniePop. Also the devs have wrote about the art style:

 

 

 

Q: What’s the deal with this toon artstyle?
A: This is the most controversial decision we’ve made with this game and I completely understand why many HuniePop fans aren’t happy with it. We don’t intend to abandon anime forever but I really wanted to try something different with this game.

It was by no means an easy decision to stick with my gut on this matter in the face of so much criticism but ultimately I felt like I had to stay true to the vision. I don’t want anybody to feel that their input has been ignored or that I don’t care, I read every word of it. However, I think there is a real value in believing yourself and trusting “the soup”, as they say.

Those of you who have been around for a while may remember the fact that HuniePop got extremely harsh criticism for it’s dialog/writing before it came out. It turned out, as far as I can tell, to be one of the things people ended up enjoying most about it.

With that said, if the art style in this game is a deal breaker for you I completely understand and I hope our next game will be more suitable to your tastes.

The game succeed like Hunipop and Sakura Clicker because the developers provide nudie mods behind the counter in a legal fashion to avoid being kicked from Valve's Steam distribution. If you offer porn, nerds will fap.

I never saw anything great in those games but for the children out there its the best thing around since sliced bread. Its one thing to make a game, or to have modding sites like LL make naughty mods, but for the developers to purposely make a porn onto Steam is just bullshit. Like the recent Cinderella game from dlsite.

 

If this is all it takes to sell something on Steam these days, let alone get through Greenlight, then what the #@&$ have every developer been doing?! Obviously they need to make a naughty Bejeweled with dino tits or a bubble shooter involving Balgruuf being drawn like a fancy French girl cuz he's ba-ballin-ballin-ba-ba-ba-ballin. Honestly never gonna understand the market. >.>

Absolutely. I haven't tried the games, but to be honest, they don't look like anything much. However, due to their censored content, they can sell their products on Steam which just expands their audience by a massive margin. There could be free games (and there are) with much better quality and more content, and yet this will still succeed due to it being distributed through a popular website.

A game takes about 90mins to complete, and by that I mean, before your time runs out for some reason, you are then rewarded with some 'coins' that you can use to unlock new outfits and hair styles, but since 90% of the time you only really see the girls avatars and a little progress bar next to it, they seem rather pointless.

 

And that is pretty much the game, "rather pointless"

Agreed. I even hacked my money to something stupid and bought everything and there is no CGs or anything.

 

If I knew it was literally a clicker game with no reward other than a dick trophy I wouldn't have bought it.

Sadly, HunieCam is a rather mediocre game. HuniePop at least executed both the the Bejeweled and the Dating Game aspects very well, even introducing a minor few nice ideas.

HunieCam is... a generic Clicker. Actually, it almost reminds me of some Idlers, except for the lack of, well, IDLING.

 

Nearly no challenge either, apart from getting fucked over by your first Hiring of a mid-level Camgirl and falling for the stupid trap that is the Motel. Very simple, basic, strategies around the "Fetishes" that you can't even really delve into due to the relatively small number of girls.

 

All this can be yours for about 6 bucks.

Yeah, no.

If you are stupid like me and think its worthwile to support "NSFW" products in the hope of improving their future fundings and reach... consider going for HuniePop instead.
