If I started doing blogs, would YOU be interested?

Recommended Posts

Hey all. As all posts I do in my life I hope this is in the right spot. It's adult (probably will be) but not a mod so "anything related to fallout" seemed like the best choice.

Anyway. So I've had many thoughts on doing a New Vegas blog but never wanted to waste the time if people wouldn't look at it, ya know? So I ask here, who would be interested in me doing maybe a blog a week (possibly more if it gets a roaring start) of - well I'm not sure on the full story/outline yet. Maybe my character doing his thing in the vanilla story? Maybe just fucking (literally) about? Exploration? Dunno much yet, but I wanna base it more of around my male character and an 18+ focused thing. Questions like "what mods will you be using" or whatnot are welcome, there is no stupid questions unless you're asking something like....ok there are no stupid questions, ask away!

Blogs are easy and free.

You will find some follower for any kind of content you will publish.

Just avoid to go against the RULES! (No child, no asking for money, ad so for.)

Good luck with your blogs.

If your blog will contain naked girls, sex and similar stuff.. I would surely visit... ;)

First one or two, probably not just to get settled in. Maybe sneak previews or minimal stuff to give everyone a taste. I have plans for sex for sure, just some slight obstacles (see below for all details).

Child porn is horrid as is and I've made accounts on places just to report it. The only thing I've done involved with children is try to kill them in Skyrim because (brace for rant)

"you're new around here so I'll go easy - " YOU LITTLE TURD DO YOU WANNA GET THROWN ACROSS THE MAP AND THEN MAULED AT BY SOMEONE WEARING SOMETHING CLOSE TO NOTHING I DIDN'T THINK SO.

But yea, I never intended on having any of this. But I assume rape in games is okay here, correct? There are mods for it so I can only assume XD. Thank you!

I've already begun some kind of outline, perhaps doing vanilla quests from the start and doing raids on raiders (lol the irony), thieves, helping the good, torturing the bad, that stuff. My issue though is non-vanilla followers, like I assume I don't have any permission to post an image with them (one originates from nexus, names Vanessa and I love this mod) let alone start a blog with them and then involve sex. I'll have to see, open to ideas on this part. That's really the only issue, unless I can actually use mods and permission isn't needed because I'm not making money/altering/republishing it in anyway, is that the case? If I don't need permission for anything I can start immediately lol, possibly have a blog up by Tuesday.

Altering and re-publishing a mod that does not allow it is against the rules.

Using a mod, taking a screenshot and publishing it is OK.

If you use a specific mod for the screenshots, then credit the mod and its author.

(This image is done using MyAmazingFollower (with the link if possible) done by <insert the mod author name here>.)

Again, credit everyone you use. Avoid to make money on it.

And especially check if the mod you use has a special note saying: "do not do screenshots of my mod."

Sooo if they don't say "no screenshots/images", then I can use it : ))))))))))))

I'm not even sure what I have installed at this point other than the obvious .esp's. See though I don't want to get banned for doing something I don't even know about when I have well over 100 mods put into new vegas and I don't want to go find every single one and credit every little thing. That thought alone makes me say screw it and not even bother with a blog. On the follower mod though there is only just requests for permission on using the resources from others. Nothing on images. Might not be allowed anyway. RIP my blog ideas.

Not much expierence in such things, but i'm pretty sure you don't need to credit every authour of every mod in every screenshot. If you post a picture with a nice made follower, mention it once where ppl can find it. Same for armors, or "whole landscape/city overhaul" or something like that. Things that are obvious at the time you take the shot :)

You don't. While it's courtesy, it's too much work. Imagine everyone in the screenshot threads doing that?

I think it's courtesy to respond to someone who asks what mod(s) are being used in those particular screenshot. And if it came down to where people constantly kept asking, maybe I would just list the mods used in screenshots in a spoiler on the OP.

I was originally going to leave it as "if anyone wants to know something they could just ask" but I think I'll do a small FAQ at the end like the ENB used, body type, if any followers are shown what their names are and how high I was at the time of taking the pictures ok maybe not that last part but that's the idea. If it sounds good I can start pretty soon.

If people asked "what mod is such-and-such in image XY?" I would've replied anyway haha, it won't have many followers so I can respond to everyone that asks anything.

Another way if you want to show really all mods for any reason: Not sure about NMM, but MO has a modlist.txt file in your profile with all mods you use there including textures etc, not only .esp's. You can find it in Mod Organizer->profiles->your profile. Although that file doesn't mention the authors and only the names you created for merged mods, adding that one into your faq might prevent some questions ;)

I don't use MO for New Vegas, I just use FOMM. Much easier for me just because of its UI and way to install things. But I appreciate that tip haha.

Why do I get the feeling this is a Preston Garvey meme? And yea Skyrim came out about a year after New Vegas. Both NV and FO3 got love but in the long term, people figured NV is a lot more fun with so much more to do hence its popularity.
