sshadow5001 Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 So I've spent the last week or so converting the Minidress and Spice Gear Collection to UUNP HDT and it just occurred to me that its probably gonna cause some performance issues if everyone and there grandma can Jiggle about. So I was thinking of going through the outfits and selecting certain sets to not have HDT but I was wondering does it really make a difference? Lets say I and all female characters are using a HDT Body would having the majority of NPC's wearing clothing that restricts the Jiggle actually increase performance (even a little bit)

sshadow5001 Posted March 17, 2016 Author Posted March 17, 2016 so there isn't much difference between the game with and without Jiggle?
chevalierx Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 so there isn't much difference between the game with and without Jiggle? 2-5 fps maybe ,
sidfu Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 if everything installed right like chevalierx said u wont realy notice the loss but when something does go wrong u notice.
spoonsinger Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Never really noticed a strain on performance. Yes my npc's/followers occasionally disappear or go stretchy then unstretch from a point on the horizon. However the mathematics, (based on fucking stupid engine limitations), which are going tits up at that point are still working but just not in the way you want them too. It's not like a "if you can't see them they arn't doing anything" type thing. (ref Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy).

Pressing ESC and waiting 5 additional seconds(or wait of menu sound to kick in) after load doors eliminates those invisible issues altogether. But it's supper lame doing that so I only do it for known particularly low framerate areas. Without knowing a thing about making HDT mods or doing anything that resembles research, I feel like it has something to do with setting limits on how far from an anchor point things can sway. But don't quote me on that. OP. In general the number of HDT objects doesn't appear to be an issue, or much of one for even old hardware like mine.
D_ManXX2 Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 it depends on jiggle and xml file your using the more hdt adds the chance for frame dip occurs. if you only have boob jiggle not much performance lost if you add there boob, butt, belly, hair, vagina and all other hdt options you will get frame hit. And the more mods you use that adds more females the slower the pc can get. So yes hdt could slow your game down.
