poblivion Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 How difficult it would be to get into Fallout 4 my Khajiit character? I've been thinking about it a little bit. Probably enough get Khajiiti head in game. I use cbbe body and this could be used textures of Skyrim. For use in the game could perhaps go use mod Unique Player. Head can be exported via RaceMenu (CharGen Export). Trickiest part would be to adjust the head for use in Fallout 4 So that I somehow imagine now write to me if it was possible
lewd123 Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 The more unique Skyrim races will almost certainly be ported when the Creation Kit comes out. Probably within a day or two of its release. Have patience. They should be relatively easy honestly. Making them look good might be problematic, considering the relatively low poly count and texture resolution, but it should definitely be doable. Just give it time.

I didn't think it was permissible to port assets from one game to another, for mods you wish to distribute at least. Or is that not what needs to be done?
poblivion Posted March 5, 2016 Author Posted March 5, 2016 I don't use vanilla head and textures. I use Catlike Khajiit head and Coverkhajiits texture. In Annex I attach the head, if anyone knew how to modify it for use in Fallout 4. Head_3-5-2016_11-28-32.nif

Didn't think about the EULA. I suppose someone could make new meshes, textures, and so on for them. That, or they could make Skyrim a requirement. At the very least, someone will figure a way to do it and make a tutorial. The fact of the matter is, anthropomorphic animals are just too big a thing in the pornographic community for no one to take advantage of it. Custom races are very possible in the Creation Engine, so someone will jump over one of the hurdles and make it a thing.
SlapMeSilly Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Putting the head in as an equippable mask wouldn't be that difficult. You can treat it like any other helmet. You'd lose the animation of mouth movement since you can't use it as an actual face mesh with a tri file. Once CK is out and people have the ambition to actually make a custom race, remodel custom head meshes to fit the front/back type model, and make tri morphs that might change.
youngfool Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 There are plenty of cats in the game, a mutated cat race would be highly lore friendly.
FauxFurry Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 The biggest problem, I think, will be figuring out how to turn Sean into a convincing Cat-boy/man hybrid between Khajiit and human.
Arhon Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 I dont think there are Race selections in Fallout 4.
FauxFurry Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 I dont think there are Race selections in Fallout 4. There are only preset 'races' to choose from so any such mod would either need to treat new races as a preset or change the player character race altogether. Similar to Fallout 3, modders would need to keep in mind that they are modding for two(actually 3 or 4 if you count him), that being mother/father and son unless they limit the use of the alternate races to a full conversion mod or just ignore that one of the parents is a cat-person.

So the presets when you pick your face are the races?.. Bethesda could have given us better clarity ...
Kaz Aanh Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 I think the hardest part will be facial morhps. Unless you want a static wearable khajjit face with no emotions and non-moving eyes. Since Fallout 4 is literaly Skyrim 1.1 there is probly a way to enable races or custom presets selections with custom .nifs. Just gotta wait for CK

Just gotta wait for CK While it may look like Skyrim 1.1, they did a lot of engine changes to textures and meshes. With respect to the modding framework this is mostly true, many things have not changed. However, the scripts that operate on the Forms provided by the base game may not function the way you expect. They sort of scrapped the whole races concept in the menu since they don't really need it. Only things that look and animate fundamentally different from a human are a different race (which are typically non-playable). Also, power armor is actually just the player swapping races dynamically. It shows an animation of your player getting into the furniture, then it essentially swaps your race (why your skin and clothing disappears). I haven't looked into whether this happens internally or by script but knowing the vampire transformation script from Skyrim, I wouldn't get your hopes up that entering power armor and exiting power armor would revert your race properly.

Races are not something as serious as you think The only unique part of a race is the skeleton(and behavior if I am not mistake), and you can totally change the face/body/texture/face of an individual character. Set the cat-like race as a mutation after you leave vault 111, then you won't need to treat the baby lol
poblivion Posted March 19, 2016 Author Posted March 19, 2016 Thank you all for knowledge, ideas and opinions.
MrCasual Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Wouldn't be _that_ hard, but good luck texturing it. I ported my Argonian, but it took hours assigning the materials for his face.

Guest Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 I'm interested in doing this. Edit: I started immediately after this post. Took me three hours. It's not skinned yet and doesn't properly follow the head.
Blaze69 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Well, I'll just leave this here: Vulpine Race (FNV). I know the mod itself is for New Vegas, but stay with me for a second. The link should take you there straight away, but in case it doesn't, check the "Videos" section. Spoiler: we may be getting some anthros for Fallout 4 sometime soon ("soon" here meaning "sometime in the future", that is, but obviously there is no ETA yet). Yeah, I know, we're talking about Khajiit here and those are foxes, but getting any kind of beast race working in FO4 is the first step. Other species can certainly come afterwards. EDIT: Okay, to prevent any kind of confussion, I'll make it very clear. I've posted this elsewhere, but I'll post it here as well just in case: The author of the Vulpine Race for New Vegas is working on porting the race to Fallout 4, and has posted two videos showing off the WIP Vulpine head and morphs IN FALLOUT 4. Here are the videos anyway: , .

poblivion Posted March 15, 2017 Author Posted March 15, 2017 I found this looks interesting, but head do not have moving lips and eyes.
