Can anyone provide a reasonable, hopefully logical, explanation as to why people who feel the need to justify their fetish(es), no matter how benign or shockingly extreme, will use lolicon as some kind of litmus for what they believe is acceptable in a virtual world.  Are not the initial reasons (if not about loli) strong enough reasons?

People are schizophrenic about what they find acceptable and what they don't. Almost everything in a video game goes because it's a video game and nothing is real. Killing someone in a game doesn't kill anybody and raping someone doesn't result in someone getting raped. However, for most people there are some things they simply can't allow because they are inherently evil, repulsive or wrong, or so they think. Suddenly, ethics from the real world do apply to a video game with no other explanation than that this thing is so wrong, so hurtful that it shouldn't even exist in a video game.

Lolicon or adult content involving children is one of the most extreme and thus easier examples one can make to unveil the hypocritical stance many people take. For whatever reason, many people have a strong emotional reaction when presented with said example, comparable to the reaction the often condemned moral guardians have when presented with a topic that you yourself have no problem with. Every single argument you can make about why lolicon shouldn't be allowed you can also make for any other subject, like rape, murder and the like. When I do it, it's okay, if someone who is not me does it, it's not okay.

@GrimReaper

I agree with the statement on the augment for or against (insert) thing can be used for any other (insert).

@psychoMachina

People have defense mechanisms and when someone calls something they like into question they inherently will try to defend themselves with arguments. It is human nature to do so. It really don't matter what is called into question. Since Loli content is the only forbidden content those that come here likely feel the compulsion to defend their fetish. I suspect that if we were on the Nexus or other sites showing some boobage or something if it is banned would result the same arguments as here for loli content (like GrimReaper stated) So the various reasons that were "explained" before makes those members that enjoy such content feel the compulsion to defend themselves when they should just leave it alone and do like Chaos63 stated. You can find all the content you want for anything you want on the web if you are willing to search for it.

Am I the only one that thinks steam is right to forbid linking to LL?

I really enjoy the content here, because I know how to make difference between reality and fiction. But children don't and that's why this place is not at all for them, and why it shouldn't be easy for them to find it.

Let's face it, a lot of children download nude mod for their characters in various games (at least I did, and I created a false adult acount on nexus to do so, it was for NWN2 IIRC).

The thing is I'm really happy to not have found any hardcore content back then, because I would have tried it out of curiosity.

TL;DR:

kids search for a nude mod, find LL and all the extreme stuff in there (rape bestiality slavery etc) => not good.

It's 2016 brah.

All you gotta do is type a few choice words in Google and you'll see all the rape, beastiality, and slavery you want.

Kids are gonna be kids. Let's be frank now. They WILL find a way past whatever barrier you put up.

It isn't about barriers, it is about content that this site desires to be available for its members. If someone wants to get mods from elsewhere like Nexus, Steam, or anywhere else for whatever reasons they want those mods it is their decision. Same goes for the OP and sites blocking LL. They choose to block them because they choose to not have easy access to this sight to their members. That is all. It is up to each site to set up their own rules on the content and allowances that they will accept.

There are members here that belong to many different sites, some have content that wouldn't be allowed hosted here on this site. (ripped content) but nobody here is searching them out to chastise them. Those that constantly try to argue the subject of Loli content brings that attention to themselves instead of just moving on and getting whatever they want elsewhere. That is the reason for my first post here on the thread. It has been discussed and decided and due to the various legal and ethical issues that might be presented to many members here do to their countries of origin and IP providers that content has been removed. This is because many countries, IP providers and such think that

with children in any kind of sexual context it's immediately and absolutely reprehensible - meme supreme

To say that you can justify rape, bestiality or whatever as easily as you can justify loli is kinda questionable.

You can make a hundred thousand convoluted explanations for why this particular form of rape isn't even rape, you can hold this creature to non-human standards and say that because it got aroused it's obviously providing some form of implicit consent; you can grasp endlessly at explanations for these two things because it's a gray area.

The difference with children is that time and time again sciencymen have come up with detailed & concise explanations telling you exactly why children are unable to provide informed consent in the way regular ass humans do when they reach sexual maturity. There's just really not a lot of wiggle room for anything here, you can't sidestep around the issue and say "oh but she wanted it" like you can with rape fantasies. It's a very settled thing.

Again, I personally have nothing against people who like loli content. But it's a very clean cut no because every previous attempt in history has failed to make it a yes or even a offhanded ok.

Rape is sex without consent. You can explain, rationalize and justify all you want, if it is sex without consent, it's rape, no matter how tame and vanilla it looks. If it is sex with given consent, it's not rape, no matter how rough or whatever it looks like. It's a very clear definition and not a gray area. That being said, this isn't about any real world application - the reason why rape in a video game is okay while being a heinous crime in the real world (just like murder or having sex with children) is not because there is a lot of room to explain it away. The reason is because nothing happened. Characters in a video game are fiction and pixels. They can't get hurt, you can't kill them because they are not alive, they can't give any form of consent because they neither have any form of sentience nor any ability to reason. They're objects to entertain the player and nothing more. That applies to everything you can see or do in a game. They are for all intents and purposes like a pebble or any other inanimate object you can think of.

Questionable or not , real or fantasy if you get a boner while watching naked kids you are a sicko degenerates.

But some would say. Isn't it better for the pedophile to have a sex with a 3d-model and textures in the game that are resembling a children? Instead of hurting the real children?

This thread is all over the place.  How did a topic about LL's influence on mainstream sites derail into something having to do with lolis?

anytime something has to do with rules or site being forbidden the loli fans come out in force. This isn't the first time and won't be the last time. I imagine soon some moderator will come along and lock this thread after allowing the loli fans their "arguments" and any "explanations" they still feel the need to give.
