Fienyx Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 http://www.loverslab.com/topic/2646-animated-wings/page-2 Does anyone know how to get the wings to be able to accept different textures? They each have a NiTexturingProperty in nifskope, but they seem to be tied together.
myuhinny Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 They seem to change textures fine for me in nifskope. Are they not changing in nifskope? Do you have these wings installed into any other game like skyrim or have the files at a different spot and the render pathway set for them? If you have the nifs rendered in one place through nifskope and you place those files into say your game folder and change the textures they will not show or change as they are already using the ones that you set to render them in nisfskope. So changing that pathway to break it will allow it to use the correct one as long as you set up the new one that is. looks like I have the textures installed somewhere in my oblivion.
Fienyx Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 What I mean is each wing in the mesh has it's own NiTexturingProperty, and I'm trying to get the _AngelWings to use the wings.dds on one wing, and the wings2.dds on the other. They are tied together somehow. I have the static version of these wings as well, and I can do the 2 colors with them. Obviously I want the animations. I just used the wings in that file to make an updated version of air fight mod, where each race has their own animated wings. Works nicely, but for a custom race I'm making, I need the 2 colors if I can.
fejeena Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 ? All Wings have a left and right side and you can add different textures for left and right. There is only one NiSourceTexture, but you can split it for left and right side. Spells; Optimize; Split Properties The Properties are added at the end of the List. Save the nif and you have it all in order. Now you can change the NiSourceTexture path of left and right side.
