Bartholomew Roberts Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I have converted a few outfits from Skyrim to Fallout 4 and have been having decent success with the exception of when it comes to gloves. I tried my first shot at doing a full outfit below and just can't get it using Outfit studio. Does anyone who has done this have a nice easy method?
Andy14 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 You can import in addition to outfit another "outfit" in OS. So the Female Hands as outfit. The Female Hands with right click -> Context menu -> Reference Shape. (or something like that). Then Boneweights copy,

Turns out there's a checkbox in the window when importing to stop overriding. "Keep existing shapes" for outfit, and "Merge new sliders with existing sliders" for reference.
SlapMeSilly Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 The issue I've been having is trying to port a skyrim glove over. I can't figure out how to get it aligned to where the hand is supposed to go. Is there some magic way to do it like the Skyrim CBBE to FO4 CBBE slider but for hands?

I've run into the same issue and currently don't have a solution. The Hard way is to uncheck the Mirror option in Outfit Studio (Edit - X mirror). Then use the masking brush and mask one glove. Set Bash shape, highlight glove mesh, right click and choose "Move shape" You are own your own for what x,y,z options are needed to move the glove from the skyrim location to the FO4 location. Note: once you have one glove moved, go to the top and under brush click the Invert Mask option (this will mask the glove you moved and un mask the other glove). Then set base shape and right click the mesh again and choose Move shape. The X will be inverted I do believe but the y and z should be the same. It may also involve rotate shape which can really just screw shit up if you don't know what you are doing. This is one of the reasons I wish Gerra6 was around as one of his tools could do a pose conversion from game type to game type (like oblivion to skyrim pose or skyrim to fo3/fnv pose). The other option would be to talk Cell into creating a single body mesh (hands, feet, and torso) and have it go from the skyrim shape to the fo4 shape (the uv map would be borked due to welding the 2 meshes together that use different textures but it would not be for in game use and would only be for converting). Ironically I put a request on Nightasy's Jane Bod Nexus page asking for something similar (just a tool for converting nothing more).
SlapMeSilly Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 My other thought was to maybe export the cbbe/vanilla hands to OBJ, load in 3ds and import the ones I want to relocate as 3ds may have better/easier editing tools to do that...though my 3ds skills are basically none. I know how to open it and I can do very very basic things with a tutorial. I'm sure I could find me something. Which brings up an interesting thought. If we could get a pair of hands from a skyrim stance and a FO4 stance that are the same model, couldn't we build a conversion slider? Or is it not smart enough to handle the type of conversion morph we'd be doing?
