Since I'm beginning to plan out the mods I'm hoping to make for Fallout 4, I'd like to know a couple of things about the ending people picked for FONV. There is no official canon as of yet, but since I do plan on bringing a couple of my own characters from FONV into FO4, I basically have to know a couple of key story elements. Both of the main game and some important points in my own mod series, Fertile Breeder.

Also note that if the total number of people voting is below 150, I'm not going to consider it representative enough and go with my own canon, resulting in an NCR ruled and Breeder infested Mojave Wasteland. :P

Thanks in advance for cooperating ;)

Exactly what I have done!

Never have done a Legion play through.

The Mojave remained independent, the desert rangers were resurrected, the beacon was activated & of course Ritual clarity continued his devious experiments. That IS the official canon!

p.s. according to me anyway ;)

Nah, according to me the NCR won 5/8 playthroughs I did on FONV. The other 3 were simply to see what the quests for the other 3 factions were, so they don't really count either. ;)

(As for the beacon, obviously I've activated it, duh.)

Great Khans relocated.  NCR / Freeside shook hands.  BoS / NCR are " tolerant " of each other.  Helios One power distributed to whole of mojave.  Helped each town out in a good karma way, Primm under NCR protection.  Legion has been wiped out.  Enclave helped NCR during Battle for the Dam.

Fiends " taken care of "  Sexout Style (found a mod that lets you convince the Fiends in the vault to actually help out the NCR, and it does not break the Sexout Tryout stuff either! )  Jacobstown Super Mutants helped and convinced rest of Mojave they are not a threat.  Scorpion Gang wiped out.  Boomers helped NCR during Battle.

Vegas Strip families mostly intact and support the NCR's " help " of getting rid of House.  Nipton rebuilt (mod ) and is now a fully fuctional NCR town/base.  Not much else I can remember unless I actually load that game save.   Oh and Cass / Veronica are both " Breeders " doing their Duty.

Every possible fun solution Sexout mods have without breaking my NCR / Mojave friendly playthrough ending.  And as stated earlier Beacon activated.

I never liked the NCR & it's beyond me why they seem to get so much love.

Probably because the story steers you in that direction. When I first started New Vegas (on console, so no mods or whatsoever), the first major faction I encountered was the NCR. First contact with Legion was in Nipton, and that wasn't exactly a friendly introduction. First companion I took on was Boone, who's NCR to the bone. When I had to choose, it was a matter of thinking: New Vegas will be conquered by a large faction, and remaining independant will be very difficult. So I figured either Legion or NCR would have to win. Since I despised Legion (and the feeling was entirely mutual), it was only logical to support the NCR.

TL;DR: the story makes the NCR seem like the most logical choice, mostly since they're everywhere and they're the first major faction you encounter.

If you really pay attention to the story the NCR has as many flaws as any of the other factions. I thought obsidian did a really good job of not having black & white factions but portraying them all somewhere in the grey instead. Also, I wouldn't really consider an independent Mojave overly difficult when you have a securiton army at your back.

Its not difficult to do, but if you watch the Independent Mojave at the end of the games story line all you get is short term stuff.  In the long run the Mojave gets shafted pretty hard.

Legion ending shows well, what you expect for the Legion ruling the place.

NCR ending shows some crappy short term stuff but great long term effects for the Mojave.

A " Neutral " ending shows a mix of both good and bad short/long term stuff.  Only possible if you chose not to help ANY faction at all take over the Mojave ( and a few console commands to make the game think you have  without doing so).

If they release a patch where I can get Great Khans to rise to destroy everyone. Settlers, Mr Hourse, NCR, Legion, Fiends. BOS, baby boomers all of them, I'd return and try to finish the game.

People actually chose to destroy the primary beacon?!?!

You get an extremely powerful weapon if you destroy it. Maybe that factored in their choice XD

Okay, first of... WHO THE HELL DID A LEGION PLAYTHROUGH?!?!?!

Second: I am counting TTW as canon for as far as Fertile Breeder and Commonwealth Breeder/Boston Breeder (The Breeder for Fallout 4) is concerned. For those who don't know what TTW means: the Lone Wanderer from Fallout 3 and the Courier from New Vegas are one and the same. In case some people start spontaneously crying over this:

-Why am I not putting this to a vote?

A: Because this is pretty important when it comes to a very important character in the future. Even if I can work my way around the extremely concrete stuff, I think I'll have to mention it somewhere. The important character will likely mention the Lone Wanderer/Courier a lot more than who won the Battle of Hoover Dam, and will likely mention the Beacon only once.

-But how can they be one and the same? It's not lore-friendly!

A: Well, the Lone Wanderer's fate after Fallout 3 is never explicitly stated. The Courier's past is kept extremely vague as well. And the parts that are known, probably took place somewhere in the four years between FO3 and NV. In other words: it's very plausible. I mean, even the lump of brain removed in Point Lookout could be the cause of the Courier/Lone Wanderer surviving a bullet to the head. So yeah... Plus, if you're getting nitpicky on this, I doubt you should use a mod which allows human females to crossbreed with other species, since that's probably a lot less lore-friendly than TTW.

-I still disagree :@

Possible, but too bad. :P

I did play a legion walkthrought with a female courier ,of couse with sexout, tryout etc.... It was fun :D.  I voted the independent.

I voted legion. Playthrough was indeed fun with sexout. The only problem with it, was that Veronica didn't like me killing BoS. Had to rely on a bug to get her to follow me again.
