Rescale Weapons

I want to rescale a weapon to be smaller. For some reason, I can't get this to work in Racemenu. I would therefore like to edit the mesh directly. Scaling the weapon's meshes in Nifskope (by using the Transform, then Apply buttons) failed to make any changes appear in the game. How do I go about doing this?

hey open the nif in nifskope and click on the nif then in the window on the bottom scroll down to were it says scale and you can change it there (like -1.00 and it will decrease the size and do it for the sheath too of course lol) I hope that helps
