Sir Artsy Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Get medium if you are getting one. You should, to my experience focus on pressure levels. Small ones usually have like 512 pressure while mediums have 2048.. tl;dr: better control = how much you press the pen -> stronger lines.
Headerman Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 Been looking at a lot of reviews on the product as well... the small pro is about the size of A6, i think the medium is about A5? They are spruiking the pen tilt features pretty well too.
Sir Artsy Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I have Wacom Intuos 4M. MIGHT be expensive but its actually pretty good investment. Got the job done and was way better than Wacom something 3 which i got back in 2003??Was bundled with Photoshop 7.0 but had little to no pressure levels lol. When i got 4M i was like "this is almost like drawing to paper". I'm pretty sure there are newer versions nowday since i got mine back in 2010? IF however you are rich, get Cintiq 13HD or bigger. (drawing monitor)

Thanks for that dood, I downloaded SAI and bought myself a simple Wacom Intuos pen and touch... it works great with SAI Started some doodling, drawing faces with focus on making simple curves for now.
Irrational Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 I had an Intous 3 (6 inch?). It really depends on the way you make lines that determine the size you want to get. I tend to work mostly in sketchbooks so most of my lines are wrist based movements as opposed to using large arm movements which is why I opted for a smaller size, it lets you cover more ground with minimal movement. I'm currently using a Yiynova MVP22U 22 inch display tablet as an alternative to a wacom cintiq equivalent. Mostly no complaints here except there's a faint high frequency sound that it makes after being on for some time, and the drivers leave a lot to be desired. Other than that, it does fine with pressure sensitivity and has a decent color gamut.
Headerman Posted November 1, 2015 Author Posted November 1, 2015 I have never drawn at all before in my life, it's only now i think i have found my artistic side. While the Intuos is small and there is not a lot of space to work with, i have already found my lines improving. Curves are still a bit difficult though.
